  1. There seems to be a lot of people on here who love engineering projects. I stumbled across this one where a firm in South Africa is building mid mounted V8 Beetles. The workmanship and problem solving is exceptional. So if it is as wet as they say this week end spend some time watching the 14 episodes so far. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCrbeF1wSJOxFnxImM2JRc1Q

  2. Not everyone keeps all there receipts and stores them in a file with a matching photo album. Some of us actively chose to avoid having such a bulk of divorce promoting evidence. Our biggest fear when we die is our partners sell the car for what we say it has cost!

  3. 1st April. Unfortunately my Westie decided to empty its bowels on my garage floor today, so I'm on mop and bucket duties. Rod might be there in his yellow Submarine, with a few Spitfires and Hurricanes for cover, the Vulcan is on a daylight bombing raid with Grizzlee so they are busy. Elvis has promised to come in his Westie, co-driven by Mike C, although three might be a crowd. Farmer John is trying to catch the pheasants that vandalised his car. Yes, pheasants, not peasants, ask Mary, she's a pheasant plucker. Have a great day and happy Easter. Disclaimer:- any reference to anyone fictional or real is a pure coincidence, except Farmer John of course, he doesn't have internet.

  6. Tilletts get my vote , my car came with some jk's and I wasn't happy with the strength of the particular ones that came with my car (so I fitted Tilletts) , although still a very nice seat . If you ever do have an off which hopefully you don't the extra on a tillett in my view is money well spent . Noting of course there are several different options on sizing and fantastic service from David @Tillett Car Seats

  8. 15k is enough to get a really good Westfield, with a lot of the right boxes ticked. OK, so Mega S2000’s are probably not going to be quite in range yet, nor Sport 250’s, but certainly good examples of Zetec, Duratec, Mazda, V8 engined cars, etc

  9. You need to check the plugs after a run out when the engine has been upto normal temp, don't look at them after a cold start as they will be sooty. I would bang a new set of plugs in whatever seeing as you are removing them to look at them, for the price it''s not worth refitting the old ones IMO. Ref the fueling do you know anyone at a local garage etc with emissions testing equipment? If so just pop the car in and ask them to see what the emissions are like at idle as a start point

  10. JK do a few seat widths/heights and are good. David provides excellent service for Tillets too. Whichever definitely Worth trying out before you decide as they all are a slightly different fit.
