Just been out in the Westy for the first time this year ,couldnt it resist with the warm sunshine and poor forecast to come. Although I have not taxed the car yet, only went five miles to check out my winter upgrades. The 13" Superlite wheels and new Kunho tyres make a huge difference to the handling, the car seems faster, and a lot more agile than it did on the 15" TD,s. Only problem is the space between the tyre and the wing but I will just live with that.1 point

In my defence I did collate the results first before starting my blog1 point

It is either a Classic Replica or a Cobretti Its the same/very similar to the one I am building, which is why it is one of the above two. Classic Replica's no longer exist and Cobretti now have the rights/jigs1 point

It's an absolute crying shame that a lot of old Duttons and probably others too, that are in need of a bit of work to get road worthy again are being hoovered up for their V5's. Sadly, that's all that usually remains of the original In most cases, it's deliberate and cynical ringing by any other name, solely to bypass IVA etc. (We are not talking the old pre SVA incorrectly registered vehicles here). Best case if you got properly caught would be having to get the vehicle IVA'd.1 point

I bought the KEIS. Heated Gillet from the same place with the controller and it works a treat........or so I'm told as it has been commandeerd1 point

There's a slim chance he used the Dutton chassis but I doubt it since the listing describes the car as having Granada suspension. It looks like you're buying a cobra that will need an IVA test once complete and a V5 for another car that probably no longer exists.1 point

If it was an easy fix, why wouldn't the seller have done it? I reckon you'd have to go full IVA for this to be corrected...1 point

Had a brilliant day today. Weather was glorious and it was nice to leave home not wearing a coat. Met with Dave and we headed for coffee at Hornsea Mere. I thought my luck was in again, as outside the shop there was a sign that said Beaver. Took a few minutes for me to realise it was the name of the boat. Next step was over to Malc's for coffee and we where made to feel most welcome. Di, sorry for the mess and damage but Malc said he would clean it up for us . Next stop was Spurn Point. Spotted sneaky policemen hiding on a long bend near the gas plants but we where good lads so no need to stop us. It was amazing how many wind turbines there are on the land but also in the sea. We wanted to drive right to the tip of Spurn but they have now stopped vehicles driving to the end as the road is washed away in parts. Dinner was at the local pub where we had magnificent views across the Humber and the Humber Forts. Thanks for the day Dave and also to Malc for the great hospitality.1 point

But who knows if your design will pass the test of time as you've only done 24 events1 point

Well things can only get better, I guess! That looks like a one-wire self-exciting alternator: https://www.windbluepower.com/Delco_10SI_One_Wire_Alternator_p/7127-sen.htm However, there is also a second wire - the small post (-) for grounding the alternator. If that wasn't fitted, the alternator will be grounding through the mounting bracket which might have corroded and stopped it from self-exciting. I'd clean the mounting faces and probably add a small earthing strap directly to the engine block from the (-) post to see if it actually works (i.e. 13.5V or more at the battery when the engine is running) Edit: just saw the bracket is broken, so I guess that might be your earth path gone...1 point

Im selling my 130I M sport as i'm looking to buy another toy. Very quick car for the money at 260bhp and quite a rare one to see, especially with this spec. The car is in very nice condition for the age, with no major marks or dents to the body, no rips or tears to the interior, everything works as it should. It just has some small scuffs on the wheels I have known this car since it was purchased new by the first owner. It has done 94900 miles (which may go up very slightly) It has had 3 previous owners, one being BMW, one being a friend, the other my father. The car has nearly every option available fitted and was £42k when new i believe. The features it has: 18" msport wheels msport body kit. Xenon headlights i drive with sat nav and cd player leather heated seats (manual adjustment) bluetooth phone pairing dual zone climate control and air conditioning. electric sunroof (rare to see alongside air con) electric adjustable and folding mirrors. Genuine BMW boot load liner. M Performance black sills Was serviced by myself within the last 12 months, changing the oil, filter and air filter. It has had 4 new pirelli contisport contact 5 tyres fitted in the last 12 months to replace the run flats. Mot'd this weekend with no advisories, so a full 12 months mot. Both keys present, some service history present and supplied along with all original owners handbooks in bmw wallet. The private registration will be removed from the car before sale, the car will be on a '55 registration plate. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or to arrange a viewing. The car is located in Sutton Coldfield and i'm looking for £5,0001 point
