  7. I had to 'sell' my Pre-lit' with the wrangling with the ex. I couldnt change the house locks, so she had rights to enter the house. I had told her it was sold and she saw the garage was empty. In real truth , Mark at Owen Developments , hid it in his workshops under cover for 6 months until it was all sorted out. Amazingly she forgot about the car in the final figures, so even though I lost the car for 6 months, I still owned it and it got a run up on the rollers before I collected it , to check all was good

  8. Lovely car , sorry about your woes, but you will be back soon, I am sure. Love the rear lights, just like mine. Someone is going to get a cracking car.

  10. Absolute bargain given the work that’s gone into this rebuild.

  11. probably not flush, they stick out a little. I think I wanted to be sure that they were vertical compared to the road rather than parallel to the body work. using two nuts allows a reasonable degree of adjustment.

  12. I don't get why people don't enter anyway. The entry fee is peanuts, gets you a T shirt and discounts from a variety of sponsors. Im not sure what there is to lose by entering, even if you don't compete

  14. Just to clarify that the only "southern" event we dropped from last years calendar was Wiscombe which was very poorly attended. Its interesting on perception of north and south. Birmingham is the acknowledged dividing line and even people who live in the "north " have to travel 200 miles and 4hrs/5hrs to Anglesey but it is always one of the most popular and well attended venues and with events run by Longton DMC you get lots of runs rather than just 2 practice and 2 timed runs With 37 events on our calendar the SSOT believes that there is a good spread of events for everyone.

  26. Probably my most used non-satandard toolkit type tools on Westfield builds are a Rivnut inserter and then GRP shaping stuff. A Dremmel type tool is worth its weight in gold, but I also find myself using a power file type tool a huge amount; perfect for cleaning up and shaping GRP and aluminium, steel etc. Whether it’s dressing welds shaping brackets or filing back GRP.
