I wanted a tonneau for lower air drag and sewed one together using ripstop nylon like a tent is made from. It has very little stretch so you can set it up to be drum tight. As shown it weighs 3 ounces or about 80 grams. It's not solid but it controls the air well and weighs almost nothing. dave

So on Wednesday night I finally took delivery of the Supersport. I actually paid for the car last October but I asked for a tonneau to be fitted along with a load of other jobs prior to delivery so it was delayed until now. I now have a long list of little things to do to the car to tidy it up, nothing major but I like my car's to be just so. So far all I have done is strip all the old stickers off it. This took me ages last night but I'm just about there - just need to remove the residue before I get painting/general tarting up. Purchased from LFP motorsport in Brum. Aaron really know's his stuff. Really looking forward to the new season now! First outing after a trackday at Donny (date tba with my mate) will be 22nd April at Pembrey My daughter like the car as well!

I live in Northampton and my folks near nottingham. For most of the past 5 years the M1 from j16 to the M6 has been 50mph and narrow lanes due to smart motorway improvements. It was reopened in nov 17 and the benefit for all those years of disruption .... signs that tell us to take a break or dont drink and drive and the loss of the hard shoulder. Sadly government has a history of mis managing technology projects. By the time these smarts roads are completed the technology will be obsolete. My sat nav provides more accurate, more specific and relavent info to me than any smart network can currently. 20 plus years ago traffic master installed sensors on virtually all motorways in just a few years which provided real time traffic data which they sold to major car manufacturers. Demonstration that viable commercial projects can deliver much more effeciently than governments. If government is to focus on tech then they should consult tom tom , google etc and focus on data collection and provision of that data to commercial business who are much better placed to distribute it via apps or products that end users have confidence in. After all the next generation of vehicles will have the tech to display all the info we need, so why waste money on electronic signs on motorways when the vehicles can already display it?

Current classic car prices are just crazy. I never thought my little cars could be thought of as being in this category as they were intended to be individual pieces of “fun”motoring. They were fun then and I am sure now. i still remember driving number 1 and thinking great FUN!! Enjoy!
