  3. Well I found a place in the USA that sells the proper version of the light and they arrived over the weekend and I got them installed yesterday. The high temperature yesterday was 6° F and the roads are snow covered so not a good day to test out how bright these are but I was able to get a weight on the stock lights vs. the Dominators. The stock 5 3/4" lights weigh 35 ounces (992 gm) each and the smaller Dominators weigh in at 20 ounces each (567 gm) which of course is a savings of 15 ounces (425 gm) per headlight. Not too shabby. One thing I really like about the Dominators is the ease of adjustment with the right/left and up/down adjustments being completely separate from each other. The stock lights have the one big nut that, once loosened, allows the big lights to flop around in every dimension making it very fussy to adjust accurately. That's all I've got - dave

  4. Thread for the presents you didnt really think was possible or obscure........... For me this year was a bottle of 'Elvis' aftershave ...................... blokes been dead most of my life. Why the hell , I needed such a putrid smelling potion ? . I would use it as drain cleaner, but I dont want the house drains to stink of it. For my birthday from the same person, I got a limited edition steam locomotive pen knife.................................. really..................... just dont ask.................

  10. On my list was Track day vouchers, Catch Tank, Shift light, CAMRA membership but I got none of them as the women in life didn't understand what they are. I'll console myself with the 3 bottles whisky malts I received instead.

  12. It looks to me like you have an oil cooler rather than an intercooler, my advise would be to warm the engine a little, switch it of and let it sit for 10 mins then undo the sump plug and let it drain completely, refit the sump plug and then remove the oil filter which will still have some oil in it. Before you fit the new filter fill it with oil first and do it up hand tight then fill the engine with oil to mid way on the dipstick, this means you get good oil pressure straight away and don't over fill the engine. After the engine has run for long enough to circulate the oil properly switch off and check the oil level. Hopefully all will be well.

  13. There is no intercooler there, thats for turbo applications etc. You have a remote oil filter housing. Just unscrew, when warm and allow to drain, then screw a new filter, pre filled with fresh oil on. Sump is the same as Edd does it.

  19. I had plenty on my wish list - new carpet, new seats, replacement half hood bag, sat nav....... Thought nobody was sorting out the carpet and seats so had to step in myself and get them. Other two things happily arrived as planned via the heavy hint policy adopted. Got round the Mrs by getting heated seats and USB powered heated gloves. Small price to pay and obviously covered for her presents as well. Job satisfactorily achieved!
