  1. Been working on this for a couple of months now, finally got a blend I'm happy with. Was not bothered about durability - just ease of removal and depth of gloss - always nice to be able to select your own blend, colour, scent, jar colour and lid design

  2. At the end of the day if you spot a bargain and sell it on, then it’s no problem. Original seller underpriced them and took a hit.

  3. I like it. Is very subtle almost matching the same yellow as the car. Very nice. Thanks for posting it!

  4. A quick meet up in Matlock. Dave, Martyn and Sue, Chris and Mo in the Westfields and Paul, who has SORN the VX220, came in his other flashy motor, a GT86. I asked if he would travel with the heater off and the windows down, but he just growled at me . The interior of the GT86 We drove through Chatsworth and on until we got to Grindleford Station Cafe. I have a new hobby, when I approach the cyclists and slow down, I overtake them and then just lift off the throttle slightly, so I can hear Dave behind me accelerate past them. It works every time and it sounds fantastic, now that is how to turn a negative into a positive. We had breakfast next to the real fire But not before John and Jacky arrived in their super special car. It is a Honda S2000, GT model, with a rare platinum pearl white paint. It is an 08 plate with only 7500 miles on the clock, it is immaculate, just wait until you see the engine bay, a rare sight on this forum, a Honda engine actually in a Honda car. After brekkie, we set off on some very scenic roads, everyone was glad when the slow MX5 turned off, why would you drop the top and bring your sports car out on a day like today, only to drive at 40 mph? When you see SLOW written on the road in white paint, it means normal cars must SLOW for the tight corner ahead, in sports car language it translates to FUN, prepare to speed up around the corner, yes? tell me I am wrong. Moving on, we booted it up the essess to Elton, and booted it down the Via Gellia, nice quiet roads today, thank you. We waited for the others at one point, which was an excellent photo opportunity. We arrived at the Cromford Canal cafe, and it was cake time, yummy, yummy, ginger and lemon cake, I've never had that one before. Dave showed us his interior lighting display, which was impressive, I didn't know Westfield's had interior lights, what colour would sir like to travel by today, blue, green or orange? The view from inside the cafe, we sat upstairs The cafe The canal The GT86 Another brilliant day, with great, fun, roads, lovely views, lovely cars, excellent eating establishments, but best of all is the people and the laugh that we have. Now, next weekend is the WSCC committee meeting so we will not be out, I am going to let Martyn's tyres down in the week , so he cannot go without us. If the weather is as sparkling as this I will be mortified and wildly jealous, and I definitely don't want to know about it Martyn. We will be back in action the weekend after though.

  5. Not and event in itself, but we have now set up a Whatsapp group, as another channel to communicate events and track days, especially when something is being organised at short notice. If you would like to be added to the group, please message me your mobile number (and download the app if you don't already have it).

  13. Yes there was the odd car there, in particular the white fiesta that was dangerously close your rear bumper until they bullied their way past with no margin for error for either car They were obviously quick but certainly not driving to track day ettiquette and was putting other cars at risk - I did have a chat with one of the MSV guys (who's track day it was) after I watched them bully their way past the 3/4 cars that were in front of me and yes I witnessed them overtaking not by consent- I was told that it was the Jamsport organiser (a hosted type event) - he did say however that that was not relevent and would have a word I didnt come across the car in the afternoon so no idea if their driving style changed - Hope they calm down a bit for future track days Not sure I would do one of the "in association with...." type track days again as it was clear that some of the sponsors thought it was a green light to do what they wanted Anyway that's enough bleeting

  17. Up for grabs is one Mickmade carbon aero screen to fit wide body cars. Pre-reg autoclaved carbon and as a result it's stiff and weighs only 250g including fitting bolts! I've literally not seen another one of these so it might be a one-one-off Raw finish slightly mat effect (very slight evidence of a vinyl sticker being fitted when it was on Mick's car but only just about visible from certain angles in certain light, couldn't manage to get a photo of it). Quick blast with a clear lacquer would suffice if you prefer your carbon polished Looking for £75. Can bring to Awards Do or postage by UPS would be £10 inside UK mainland.

  19. Nope, not interested to be honest, I have no need to follow his profile. What I do know, is he has driven more cars of every nature than all of us, so has a perception of how a car should work. He said he had been involved in Lotus cars and to be honest, you didnt need to be able to drive a car to find the suspension was rubbish or that a gear knob falls off. I suspect the next installment will be on the shelf in the magazine or on Pistonheads or any other form of media that many thousands read , not 300 guys on a forum. Westfields audience in TG mag doesnt need a 5 page spread on what it does and doesnt. It doesnt have gizmos, emmisions to worry, heated steering wheels, crash testing, traction control and the like. To write 5 pages on a Westfield would make the audience consider sleep and turn over. It deserved the space it was given , for the audience who could show interest to buy. I believe he had the car for abou 3 to 5 ish days to try, which would tell you most of what you need to know. Also, I dont care about Caterham. They arent what the discussion is about. They can do what they like and what they are doing works and sells well. This thread was about a Westfield Sport 250 and its issues . A gear knob fell off my bullet box in my first Westfield , but I didnt had a journo driving it, who was going to write about a kit car falling apart. let alone have 2 off them.
