Having seen some really nice tidy engine bays, I decided to take a look at mine, and see if I could improve in the view that already contains a mighty xflow Main thing I always got drawn to, was the return pipe from the thermostat to the header tank, basically a bit of hand bent copper tube running over the exhaust header. So, had a think and looked at other cars, and a nice hardline properly clipped down as per a photo on this forum was the way to go. This was the inspiration picture Bit of 10mm alloy tube, some blue silicone pipe, couple of P clips, and a hand pipe bender. Also routed the plug leads differently, need to source some nice clips for the leads now.4 points

Massive thanks to @RussH for all the help, support and guidance throughout this journey and for the time freely given to assist me find the right car. Anyway, I bought a Kingfisher Blue SEIW with a tuned 2l XE engine. The car is absolutely epic.....I love everything about it and so does the Mrs! I bought the car from @john10speed and it’s a known car within the club. Looking forward to getting my head around what’s what and meeting a few of you at events through the warmer weather. He’s in the Panama papers too ......... he’s been buying his Ford parts via a shell company in the Bahamas getting them shipped to Russia and reboxed as Lada parts then importing them via donkey into Eastern Europe into Stuttgart to be repackaged into Porsche boxes for our ‘Premium’ Prince3 points

What worries me is following him in the Westfields, he’s bad enough at driving through cow poo and flinging it up everywhere. Im terrified now, that next time it might not be cow1 point

Oh dear. As much as I do love my S2000 Westfield, I regularly miss the XE powered, which was built at the same time as Scott Beeland built the Bog House, and I know from many conversations at the time, the spec, way back then was very similar. A standard Mega S2000 will feel quite flat by comparison. (Very similar bhp, way less torque than the Boghouse, and much heavier, in an equivalent spec). Jim however has got a fantastic car, a really good old school Westfield with one of the classic late eighties/early nineties Motorsport engine’s.1 point

Chassis, wishbones, alloy uprights, all nuts and bolts and mounting hardware supplied by westfield. Protech shocks and springs supplied by procomp built to the same spec and poundage as supplied by the factory and confirmed by Matt at procomp. Setup to factory setup sheet as provided by mark walker, front tweaked a bit away from factory to suit my driving style. Setup and corner weighted by a motorsport specialist. Bolted together by me or a factory technician what's the difference? Factory car built by "professionals" at the factory. 2 cars same components, 2 different builders, same problem reported Coincidence? If I'm spending 20k+ I have every right to question the factory if I believe something ain't right. If you would accept it then then that would be your choice. I'll leave it there.1 point

Depends on the instructor... Get them to use your lids / intercoms if you can, Chris! Got this on my radar, did it last year with @BCF and it was a cracking day!1 point
