  1. Great British Sports cars are having another one of their factory open days at Ollerton in Nottinghamshire. It (the cake eating that is) starts at 10am. Come along for a tour of the factory, a general chin wag with other car enthusiasts and the kit parts shop is open too, so bring your shopping list. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and it's free. Donations to the Air Ambulance are welcome. We will be on holiday at some point in September, when the weather settles, but hopefully we will make this event and meet at 9.30 McDonalds as usual.

  2. So, it seems Total Kit Car this month have reviewed the same car and its absolutely perfect in every sense according to Steve Hole. Really ? Has the factory changed anything before it went out on the road with them or is it just a back scratching exercise for the mag on ' you pay for advertising in our mag, we will give you singing reviews' ? Seems very strange as just seems a selling technique, albeit a very see through one. I guess the real test is owners reviewing what they think and needs to tinker with to get work right and not to potentially same industries that live in each others pockets for genuine reviewing, which Top Gear dont do. So, @AdgeC, get that IVA in the bag and the chap with Steve's lovely car and tell us how you find them.

  6. pop the hinges on the winscreen pillar mounts, put some masking tape along the edge of the wind deflector, offer the deflector up to the car and when you're happy with the position, mark the holes on the masking tape. I used a bit of edge trim along the bottom edge just to stop any potential rubbing and marking.

  9. Two things: 1) I think Westfield's can be made to handle very well. 2) I think R888s a wrong unless you're on a track. 3) The car (yet again) is of suspect build quality. 4) He's wrong about the styling... and almost everything else too. Just my opinion of course!

  10. I know someone who has recently left Westfield after a long long time with them. He has not left them for more money, promotion - he has left them because he no longer felt proud of the companys products and the working environment had taken a significant tumble. His view was that profit was becoming more important than quality and corners were being cut. Now of course this could be sour grapes and / or completely untrue but it does set you thinking.
