  1. Well that was the original plan. We left Brum on Friday and are now in Edinburgh and have covered 1100 miles. Today we also stopped at an Asda to by clothes as we had ran out of clean essentials! We were originally spending last weekend in the Yorkshire dales and moors. Our journey so far from Brum on Friday is to Atherstone, Market Bosworth, Quorn Wymswold, Newark Air Museum, lincoln, Brigg, Humber bridge, Hull and more cross country to finish with @Geoffrey (Buttercup) - North Yorkshire AO and fish and chips for tea on Scarborough sea front. Saturday we were joined by @Dave-P-H and over the Saturday and Sunday we covered over around 500 miles through the stunning Yorkshire dales and moors. Indeed we spent around 22 hours out having fun, drinking tea and eating cake. Monday was quieter with a trip to York and York Minster and the Railway museum. Tuesday as the weather was holding we decided to head for Holy Island, bit last minute I know but a mate of mine has a pub there and he could sort us a bed for 2 night's. We hugged the coast all the way there from Scarborough to Holy Island taking Whitby, Boulby, over the Transporter Bridge and up the the Durham heritage coast, over the Queen Alexander bridge and then the Tyne Tunnel. Next was Tynemouth, Whitley bay, Blyth, Newbiggin, Cresswell Amble, boulmer, by this time we we were tired so jumped on to the A1 north to Holy Island. We'd been on the go 8 hours after a very busy weekend. We then had 2 fantastic days relaxing on Holy Island thinking we best go home after, anyway we haven't, the weather looked good again and we're now in Scotland. More to follow when I can with pics

  4. I had mine wrapped in 3M matte wrap by a 3M trained technician, wrap cost me £450 and he charged £200 labour and did it in one day in my garage

  7. I have a big problem with this to be honest. In the first place the police are using the public to spy on others and do their job and the police who did this the best was the Stasi in East Germany and look how we all thought that was wrong. Second, we have cameras in all our vans and every so often we get sent footage saying how our vans did this etc. When we get our footage and then view it is tells a different story completely. Sometimes we have witnessed such appalling actions by other drivers who seem to be deliberately provoking situations to occur. If this footage was not available I could well imagine our drivers having difficulty proving innocence if an edited version was sent in. It is the thin end of a potentially big wedge, how long before they try to accept evidence from "local speed watch groups" or from concerned citizens using hand held cameras gathering evidence on their pet hates or against someone they dislike. Sure for a serious incident there could be justification, but as I saw with the first pilot there was an emphasis on getting people onto courses where there is a financial incentive to those involved in running awareness courses. This does not mean I want a free for all on the roads, but the headlong rush into slapping cameras up everywhere led to traffic police numbers being slashed and on the motorways replaced by HATO's, those are the people we need not Doris in her Micra with a cheap Argos camera.
