Well that was the original plan. We left Brum on Friday and are now in Edinburgh and have covered 1100 miles. Today we also stopped at an Asda to by clothes as we had ran out of clean essentials! We were originally spending last weekend in the Yorkshire dales and moors. Our journey so far from Brum on Friday is to Atherstone, Market Bosworth, Quorn Wymswold, Newark Air Museum, lincoln, Brigg, Humber bridge, Hull and more cross country to finish with @Geoffrey (Buttercup) - North Yorkshire AO and fish and chips for tea on Scarborough sea front. Saturday we were joined by @Dave-P-H and over the Saturday and Sunday we covered over around 500 miles through the stunning Yorkshire dales and moors. Indeed we spent around 22 hours out having fun, drinking tea and eating cake. Monday was quieter with a trip to York and York Minster and the Railway museum. Tuesday as the weather was holding we decided to head for Holy Island, bit last minute I know but a mate of mine has a pub there and he could sort us a bed for 2 night's. We hugged the coast all the way there from Scarborough to Holy Island taking Whitby, Boulby, over the Transporter Bridge and up the the Durham heritage coast, over the Queen Alexander bridge and then the Tyne Tunnel. Next was Tynemouth, Whitley bay, Blyth, Newbiggin, Cresswell Amble, boulmer, by this time we we were tired so jumped on to the A1 north to Holy Island. We'd been on the go 8 hours after a very busy weekend. We then had 2 fantastic days relaxing on Holy Island thinking we best go home after, anyway we haven't, the weather looked good again and we're now in Scotland. More to follow when I can with pics5 points

Went out for a blat this morning, 6:30 start, boy oh boy was it cold. After 5 minutes I had to pull over and dig out my Guy Martin Bobble Hat as my head was starting to ache with the cold. Managed a mere 50 miles before turning tail and heading for home. Nice cup of tea whilst I put the car away, the only bonus was there wasn't the usual film of dead bugs spread over the car. I guess last night's chill killed them all off. I heard some idiot on the radio mention "Indian Summer" a couple of days ago Its not here yet.....1 point

To be honest I can't remember. Combined with the fact there still needs to be a decent amount of prep i thought I'd rather buy some paint. The upshot is I've done neither. Sticking to the rat look1 point

You did sand and prep the damaged though. you wouldn't believe the amount of people I see bring a damaged panel, ask for no prep work to be done and expect all damage to be hidden. As with paint the prep work is key. (I'm not implying the OP is the same in any way).1 point
