Hi all, As a new and first Westfield owner I thought I'd say hello. I've been on the site for quite a while, not posting a deal but an avid reader absorbing all the Westfield info I can whilst looking for a car. The good/bad thing with these cars IMHO is there is so much choice in particular engines. I just narrowed it down to what I wanted to do with the car and what would keep my attention. So, I'm now the proud owner of Steve's Sport 250 as per attached link. I tried to put my sensible head on and buy a lower budget car but this just ticked all the boxes so the rest was a pretty easy decision. Thirteen hour round trip but great car and nice bloke so all was worth it. Car now lives in the Midlands and I will try to get to some meets, mostly work away in the week so limited as to what I can do. So, I'm sure you want to know what's my thoughts re the Sport 250 performance? Well, I have owned a supercharged Ariel Atom for the last 3 years and this is its replacement. Why you may ask? Because the Atom ties up a lot of money and are mega expensive to maintain amongst other reasons. Back to the Westfield ................ I certainly didn't step from the Atom to the Sport 250 and notice a massive difference in power. I was really impressed with the torque and mid range grunt. This is a VERY rapid car which I know will keep me interested. It reminds me of my Focus RS with turbo dump valve, lots air intake noise and a surprising loud/deep stock exhaust. Its early days and TBH I need to get to know the car, its characteristic's and generally learn how to drive it. I've got a few changes in mind probably over winter. I've always enjoyed tinkering which also drew me to these type cars. If it aint broke fix it Chris2 points

Good to bump into you guys today at Byland Abbey, and thanks for making me feel like a muppet for coming to Yorkshire in the Audi rather than the Westy. But point well made, won't do it again!2 points

A date for your diary and a chance to find out who's car is the lardiest and who's the most svelt! Kevin @kevip6 has kindly agreed to host again at his premises at 57 Tallon Rd, Brentwood, CM13 1TG. Historically, this has been a breakfast event on the same day as the monthly meet. This time, we are looking at meeting up around 11.00am and there will be a lunchtime barbecue of burgers, hot dogs and jerk chicken drumsticks. On the day, there will be a Westfield parked at the entrance to Kevin's factory. It goes without saying that this is not limited to Essex Area regulars, so anyone from further afield tempted by the offer of food is welcome. Please let me know if you will be coming, so we can cater accordingly.1 point

So car fun today. I took a trip down to JPR tuning in Yate. I have had the car 10 months, a couple of track days have been done and I've driven a fair few road miles. The car has a 2.0 zetec throttle bodies and emerald ecu and sold to me with “165” bhp ( but no dyno graph). It felt pretty fast but I started to think it was not so good low down and felt like it was dragging a bit. I had rung John at JPR on a google search when I was first on the hunt for a car and tried one with carbs. He was really helpful, I did not buy that car but I knew if I wanted any work doing I’d call him. He started looking at the map on the car (a bit miffed by it) , made some changes and we did quite a few runs more tweaks and a couple of hours later it was making 178bhp and 151 torques. Making power all the way through the rev range and he said safely too. Not bad for a 96 mondy lump. He was impressed with it, so was I it was like a different car on the way home..... so punchy and keeps on going… well happy Any one need any work done I can’t recommend JPR enough John knows his onions. ………next job improve brakes lol on the rollers pic and dyno graph1 point

I need to do some more bedding in mile on Wednesday, so depending on the time I will be there. Any time after 6:30pm is good for me.1 point

It is repackable, it could be the Cat loose or the perforated metal tube that runs down the middle.1 point

Many thanks to Julie and Trevor for organising today's run. Great roads, great food and great company! Good to finish up at the Claymills pumping station in full steam. Have driven past many times over the years but never made it in before. Steve1 point
