  3. Went out for a blatt up the A697 in Northumberland, stopped for a coffee, its amazing the interest Westfields produce. There is always someone trying to cadge a ride, its udderly ridiculous. Cowbunga!!

  5. Seeing this topic and with my own thoughts about selling up and moving on, I got to wondering - what cars do people move on to after the Westfield and how do you feel about it? Yes I know there is nothing comparable, so it's not so much the comparison I'm interested in, it's more about what you did next, and maybe even after that? I'm in a place where my car is as developed as it can be without a 5 figure investment, and I've got a lot of itches to scratch (Porsche, V8, classic yank V8, Honda NSX, AC Cobra kit, plus a lot more!). With a track slag mx5 shared with my pal @Marto303 and a classic mini that I can do sprints and hillclimbs in with dad, I feel that the garage space occupied by the Westfield is yearning for a change. But I'm so attached to Ol' Red and have put so much personal and financial investment into it, it's hard to let go. So for those that did, what's life after Westy ownership like?

  7. Thanks for the support Tel Ironic link to the post above!! I hope I don't regret it too, but if I do, that's also life. If I kept everything I'd be on one of those hoarder shows by now!!

  8. What happened to all of us..? Can you not remember back to when we were snotty nosed, red cheeked kids and full of trust and optimism and belief that if we listened to the adults it would all work out OK. Exactly what has gone on in our lives to make us such dried out, suspicious, grim and miserable doom mongers..? Oh wait - Probably the last 40 years...

  11. I think any video evidence should only be viewed if accompanied by the preceding 10 - 15 minutes of footage so that any incidents can be seen in full context. I'm sure some of the incidents I've seen show the over reaction of one driver because of the bad driving of another. The over reaction is not acceptable but the provocation also needs to be taken into consideration. It's all too easy to provoke a reaction from another motorist edit the footage to remove your offensive driving and then submit.

  17. Unless you want big brakes just for posing, which is fine by the way, I'd be very surprised if you actually need them.... Took me ages to get a setup I was happy with, ended up with boggo M16 on the front, Sierra on the back, an AP cylinder and a bias valve. With DS2500s they're great....
