  2. Oh wow, if a day has a Lancaster Bomber AND a Spitfire in, add in some Westfields and great people, it just has to be a good day, brilliant in fact. Chris and Mo, Alan, Andrew and son Pete met at Matlock, with Martyn and Sue coming straight from Curborough Breakfast Meet, which sounded like it was a good start to the day. Andrew, who is your pin up boy for the WSCC calendar this month, decided we all needed to do a panorama shot. None came out very good and this is my best shot. We went to Woolley Moor Show where all the show cars had got there early (it opens at 12) so we had to park by the tractors. The show is in a lovely setting, high up in the countryside. We all did our own thing until the fly past at 2.10pm. Obviously we went to eat cake, if you aren't driving what better thing is there to do? 3 pieces for me and 2 for Glen. We found some cute twins Andrew won a Minion for his son, Pete, who, by the way, is about 20 something. Then it was the highlight of the day, oh the sound is just heart wrenching. Afterwards we went for a MAJOR pose through Matlock Bath, it was heaving with tourists. The brill thing is that the roads are clear because everybody is already there, if you know what I mean. We called at Ca**ington Water for a brew, and jam and cream scones before Andrew and Chris followed me home on the back roads, now avoiding Matlock as it would be busy at this time of day. A great day out and thank you to everyone for joining us

  3. Other than the kit car magazines the mainstream UK motoring journo's all seem to look down upon kit cars as a whole as a figure of fun. Thinking Clarkson with the hawk stratos, Plato in the sport turbo etc. Westfield must be aware of this? So you have to ask A. why do they give the car to them to review in the first place. Is any publicity good or bad worth it? B. Why would you not go the extra mile to give them a completely 100% top notch sorted car.

  8. One thing I'd never really liked on my car was the original aeroscreen, did not look integrated at all so decided to order and fit a Carbon NV aeroscreen. Liaised with Mark and agreed on a V pattern with the weave, arrived on Tuesday and the quality is superb. Bonded the four fixing bolts supplied by Mark with Vudu-Glu (highly recommended) to utilise the same holes as on the old screen. Very happy with the new look and hopefully the expense has now stopped - £1500 on upgrades since buying the car in Feb but now got it pretty much exactly how I want it

  11. True story, I worked for a large Northern tyre and exhaust chain and one of the directors told the manager to cut the grass in front of his depot. The manager pointed out they did not have anything to deal with the grass, so was told to just buy something and do it. A couple of months later, the director was driving past the depot and tethered up on the neatly trimmed grass was a goat. He stopped and went in and with some anger asked what the **** a goat was doing on the front. "That is flymow, he eats the grass lives in the depot at night and the kids and parent love him to bits" "We called him flymow as the accounts would never have believed we had bought a goat so that's what the invoice said" "Since we have had him sales have gone up as no one can miss him outside and if they need tyres or exhaust curiosity gets the better of them" Flymow was the only goat the company had but it lived a full life and the grass was always neat

  12. I can see a theme here... all you need now is to powder coat the wheels and wait for me to fit a V8 bonnet

  13. bits may have fallen off, but they would never rust, not with the free anti corrosion coating provided by the A series. Being a generous soul, I also coated anyone following me as well!
