We were told that the ability to like a post would slowly come back on line as the index got it's shizzle sorted out or something like that. And I'm not technically minded so I accepted this in good faith. But now I think I've noticed a pattern, it seems the only members whose posts you can like are Committee members ..! Now in the old days of Scott's brutal and despotic rule I would have expected this blatant rigging of the democratic process. I dont blame our webmasters, they are obviously acting under orders and are possibly in fear of their lives. Oh @Andy Banks - Chairman, did you have to extinguish my hope of a new beginning so quickly ...

It's a conspiracy! Seriously though, I am aware of the "like" issue and will try and remedy it asap. It's to do with the custom membership script that the previous webmaster wrote, basically it needs updating to work with the latest forum software update. on the case (you may "like" this)

Oh God, I think I've just lost all faith in humanity*, and the will to live, in one easy forum post. Just remembered why I'd only ever frequent certain areas of MigWeb when I had a VX engine. (Fairs, fair, even the members there would be incredulous at this sort of post, but you still got them. *and not because of the original posters lack of understanding, I just think here in the 21st century, in a country that led the world in the industrial revolution, with science and technology for so many years, I can't believe we've let out children down so badly that this sort of thought is the result. The only saving grace, is that there's so much wrong with that paragraph, I'm going to choose to believe it's a wind up, rather than a reflection of how we've failed.

1. goodness me OK, the swear filter has been upgraded... 4 forks ache... And 2. I neither started it nor fanned the flames which was a pleasant change of pace for me.

If anyone experiences the same, it would be good to see some screenshots please.
