Most WSCC Members would prefer to sponsor @Chris King - Webmaster and Joint North East AO and @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Secretary to stay in the bar, rather than allow them to get horizontal given their snoring expertise!6 points

Hi all Had a great day Friday and did manage to say hello to a few of you Westfielders Took loads of pictures (sorry none of the Westies) - you should be able to see them on the link below and you shouldnt need a Facebook account to be able to view them https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1660813100609321.1073742215.100000419413756&type=1&l=620e3cc5972 points

HGV wheels look so much bigger when they are at head height Anyway Hello from the Black Country2 points

I don't know how much you're planning to spend but I could design it for you to your spec and get it lasercut in Aluminium or Stainless. Or you could use the designed file and try a local company yourself. Let me know if you want some help. Once designed I could get a quote for you from a Laser cutting company I've used many times now.2 points

As usual with anything financially related the sector is full of scammers , one is that you sell your home to an equity release scammer for considerably less than the market value with a promise that you can stay in your home. The equity release scammer uses borrowed money to buy your property , then goes bust or moves on another more lucrative scam, the bank or other lender then forecloses on the arrangement and sells your property to get their money back. You get kicked out of the home you were promised for life. I think these scammers should be added to the list of persons, bankers, financial advisors, energy firms etc etc , who come the revolution will be put up against the wall.2 points

Is there are meeting tomorrow evening at The Clock? If so, subject to the weather reports I might pop over in my XI. So far, the weather looks ok, with any rain likely to be in the morning.1 point

Looks like a squirrel. A very happy squirrel. Doing things squirrels shouldn't be doing...1 point

There are a lot of scams in this area, and some of the schemes mean that you could lose your home if you live long enough. A friend of ours lost nearly everything. So do be very careful. Geoff1 point

For blade refills, don't buy the standard ones. Just do the adaption so that aftermarket universal refills fit. The universals are much cheaper, and available everywhere. Westfields have a habit of shredding the wiper rubbers every so often, makes life much easier if you can just dive into a Halfords etc to replace them. The mod only takes a couple of minutes per wiper arm, and is litterally just a case of filing one end of each arm down a little with a small file, so that the bayonet clips will slot home. Interestingly, since swapping to plain old Halfords universal refills I've also found they've lasted way longer than Tex originals.1 point

Cue Twilight Zone music... "Picture a man, a normal man, going about his daily business when suddenly he feels he is has stepped into another world, a world not of tyre smoke and exhaust fumes, a world where folks have too many legs and cats have no tails..."1 point

Hi mate, I asked @Martyn Vann - Joint Warwickshire AO If I could have one for you and post it up to you but I believe there are going to make there way in bulk some how to AO's to to give out to local members who have not had them. Check with Martyn. If it doesn't happen for any reason you can have one of ours, we were given 2 at Stoneliegh, I think because we are a joint membership. I haven't used the other yet. Let me know mate.1 point

I recently fitted some stickers to the bonnet of mine to break up the colour. It was a tough decision and took some getting used to seeing them but I'm happy with the results, and as said above you can always take them off. I'd go offset thick and thin white stripe next to each other from front to back1 point
-
I think we must have been at a different show my picture look nothing like yours1 point
-
I added those same stripes to mine. I much prefer the look of the car with them on but it is, of course, down to personal taste. My advice would be to give them a go as you have little to lose (£25 and an hour or two of your time). If you don't like them, just take them off. A few things to ponder: I would say that the positioning (height) is important for it to look right. I have them just above the swage line in the tub. How are you going to deal with where the sticker meets the exhaust outlet? You will probably lose the the chequered flag end on that side. What happens at the rear arch end? Good luck.1 point

Single black stripe from front to back over the top of the car. Nothing else on the car is white so that colour would always look wrong. I'm renown for my good taste.1 point
-
Just for balance, I'd say go for it. Personally I'd want to break up all that colour. Can you get it in black....might not be so much in your face, although I like the white myself... Mart.1 point

So this week I've been a bit sad and purchased some bits on eBay! My first purchase was a drinks holder ... which of course had to be in matching colours and comes with some storage space! I know it's really sad but I use the car in the winter and to have a warm drink available will make up for looking sad in the car park. The other purchase was due to me wanting to take some window cleaner, polish, etc., to Silverstone. I'd ran out of room in the boot so decided to buy some small spray bottles. Only cost a couple of quid but the space saving is huge. My wife keeps saying I should be banned from using eBay1 point

OK. In terms of clutter the new section could be in with the IVA stuff arranged as you wish, either as two sub-sections or amalgamated. I really think (and I'm repeating myself from the previous thread) that putting Stevenh (for example) on the Start Line is nonsense both for him and the inferred content. I want to be able to find, read and enjoy the build process irrespective of the builder being an expert or a complete novicr. Most of all I want to be able to search easily for subject matter and find what other people did. Of course the club might think I'm wrong but it would be good to hear of other opinions other than Scott's or Dave Eastwood's - please!!1 point
