  2. Well set of Saturday morning at 7 , roof off, sky's grey but loved the 3 hour journey up, the V8 didn't miss a beat music to my ears!! ,passing two other Westfields on the way , driver and passengers waving franticly, brought a great smile to my face, today Sunday popping to see a friend at Symonds yat who's got a great b&b right on the river, with safe parking for my car, (Garth Cottage if anyone fancies a visit ) then Monday, black mountain pass with brother in-law who's more of a bike fan, but popped out for a short blast, his words ,quick as my bike but no crash helmet, lol

  11. The racing last night was absolutely brilliant. Made more so by the entertainment factor of the rain (for spectators anyway). The little Austin A30/35s were like top heavy roller skates on an ice rink the GT cars were great to watch with a good view of the drivers and how they were struggling to hold the cars straight.

  13. Meet 10.30 am at Hulme End Tea Junction, SK17 0EZ and follow @Trevturtle until we get to the largest Lemon Meringue Pies in the land, at Denstone. Having re-fuelled our tummies we will go to the Victorian Pumping Station at Claymills DE13 0DB, for privileged parking and a visit on a rare 'steaming day' Yes, it is August Bank Holiday weekend and it is The Gold Cup at Oulton Park, but this event is also not to be missed, so instead of choosing we will go to both, why wouldn't you?

  35. Oh go on then! I have waited this long as it was only yesterday i purchased the car, being a sceptic i didn't want to tempt fate!!! I have ended up with a 2009 built Westfield FW Sport, running a 2.0L Zetec in standard tune. It seen a few owners over the years but only covered ~6000 miles. I have wanted a Westy since i was a teenager and to say im happy with my first one would be a bit of an understatement! Even the ~200 mile journey home in showers with R888's couldn't dampen my spirits! there isa few bits to don the car to get it where i want it, but for now, i'll have fun driving it and wait for the winter. I have added a picture below taken this morning in a cloudy yorkshire. Hopefully next time it sees the light of day, the sun will be shinning!
