Awesome weekend, awesome crowd. The spirit of the Speed Series competitors really shone through this weekend and I loved being a part of it again. Already booked Harewood and Hethel so you will see me again sometime soon. thanks to everybody who organised it and helped to make it the weekend of the year. Looking forward to the next one already Tiggs4 points

Massive thanks to John and his team of helpers. Organising such a large event to everyone's satisfaction is a credit to you and you appeared to be so accommodating to everyone no matter how small or trivial the issue. Well done4 points

Thought I would start a thread , as so much stuff is available to clean cars , why waste money on things that arent good and list the good stuff here. Our plastic cars can normally take the same kind of cleaning gunk as painted cars . So, for my recommendation, it is Sonax Xtream brilliant shine detailer. From Eurocarparts for a 750ml bottle for just over £8. Just bought it and arrived today, so thought how good can it be. Well, the shine is just amazing and is supposed to repel water for long periods , so thats less cleaning required. Easy on, leaves no residues, so wash, dry and spray and drive !!2 points

So my biggest thank you to Pete Goulding for letting me double drive his car, carrying on the true WSCC spirit , Thanks Pete But thanks to all the hardworking people who make this event such a great weekend, especially the unsung hero's who are always there helping out and keep coming back.2 points

Cheers Justin good idea for a thread. Will give that sonax stuff a bash. I use collinite 476 on everything as a top coat sealant. Tin top, gelcoat, wheels. If you use it in very thin coats and don t leave it too long to polish off it's incredibly good and lasts for ages. A tin has probably done 20 cars worth and still loads left. I'd say it even beats poorboys wheel sealant on alloys. http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/wax/collinite-476s-super-doublecoat-auto-wax/prod_207.html I've tried all sorts of fancy and expensive carnauba waxes on my cars but keep going back to colly.1 point

Geoffery, if its an unlacquered wheel, then Autosol or Megiurs metal polish is good. If it is lacquered, then a form of spray or liquid sealant may help to stave grime and brake dust, such as Gtechnic C5 is good in reviews. I have only just coated my brand new Volvo wheels in it, so my personal review wont be for a while. It may look expensive at about £20 , but I used a quarter of a bottle on the massive XC60 rims, so enough to do both the Westie and our Skoda and a smidge left for a recoat on the volvo in a years time. Poorboys wheel sealant is tried and tested, but a real niggle to get into and out of small nuts and bolts etc , but for smooth one piece wheels works fine. I have even used Collinite 476 wax on wheels with similar results of protection and also ease to clean. All cheap and easy to use, although Collinite is pretty hard to remove if left on too long on bodywork !!1 point

I have fitted these but the clear version. They are good quality, nice and bright easily equivalent to a 21w bulb and 'E' marked. I can't see why they would have a problem at IVA and I hope not as all my rear lights are LED. My IVA is soon so I will let you know. John1 point

My car may have some prominent orange accents anyway so I don't object too much to the amber lenses, although clear all around is a great look (especially matching up reverse and rear fog). Position-wise, I've been thinking about two small 3D-printed casings to mount them on the outboard side of the headlamps (4" dominators), provided I can meet the angles and have sufficient clearance to the cycle wing (including lock-to-lock and in bump).1 point

A great weekend of racing, banter and ice cream ;-) First time out for a few years and certainly blew some cobwebs out of the car and me. Knackered too as the car was only back together 2am Friday morning. Thanks to John and his team for organising the event and everyone else that gave up their time to help over the weekend. Welcome! I grew up in Chalfont St Peter. As mentioned earlier, the HBB meet is this Thursday at the Grove Lock in Leighton Buzzard, come along and have a chat. As for garage recommendations, there really is only one place to go - MH Autos in Milton Keynes. Martin is a member on here, a really great bloke who knows Westfields inside out and he competes in his own too. He'll be at the meet on Thursday so you can meet him, ask whatever questions you like and get booked in! (No I'm not on commission! He's basically rebuilt mine for me & is my go to guy for everything, as well as being a great mate. He was the 2015 novice champ and helped me to become the 2016 novice champ, so pedigree is assured!!). Hope to meet you and see your car soon All the best Barny1 point

I've got to echo the sentiment, well done Robin, it was good to see a group of Westie's - hopefully this has raised the profile of the club. I was surprised how big the event is, 100's of car exhibiting and it was free to get in! I managed to hobble around on my crutches and ii was good to see some other friends there with their family Rolls, I managed to blag a chair and beer - much appreciated!! Just waiting to be picked up, going to Blyton to see the Sprint I should have been doing1 point

Fat controller ....lol We should ask the fat controller to deliver this track briefing next time... it might be shorter ?.. the guy next to me had to leave to have another shave before the end of the briefing.1 point

Another cracking Blyton weekend! Apart from the fuel spillages getting me black flagged, I suffered from fuel starvation after any long left handers (not helped by it pouring out I guess!) so next task is to fit a swirl pot. I may have mentioned this fact once or twice to those who would listen while sharing beers later Apologies for heading off early but just had to go home to meet my brand new Grandson1 point
