  3. I never planned this so soon but unfortunately family reasons force me to do it. So I only finished the car few months ago and got it to the standard I am really happy with. Car is kept in secure garage and ready for anyone to come and have look. I paid for it £15K last year and spent over £4.5K in parts alone since December. I am looking for £17K with no negotiations or £16K without the carbon Tilletts. Car is based in Aberdeen and you can contact me on stachowij@aol.com or 07949880266. It has just been serviced by Ricky Gauld (£300). Please get in touch if you want more high quality pictures or videos but some pictures can be found here: So here are some changes I did over the winter: Body panels fixed and painted in katsura orange (£1300) Two brand new carbon B6 tillett seats fitted (£1050) Brand new Willan Silverstone 6 point Harness (£370) Brand new Carbon splitter (£160) Brand new Carbon tunnel cover (£90) Brand new carbon roll bar bolt covers (£60) Brand new carbon rear diffuser (220) Brand new carbon boot lid (£120) Two sets of black aerocatches – (£110) Roll cage sand blasted and painted in satin black with new caged sticker (£220) Side panels wrapped in satin black (£150) 3D printed brackets (£120) Service (£300) Body repairs (£300) Carbon flared extension panels fitted Car is in excellent condition. And Here is advertisement from last year when I bought it: “Since I have owned the car I have competed in about 6 hillclimbs and had great fun doing plenty of road driving on the weekends. The car had never missed a beat. The engine is incredible, a standard Busa engine produces 175bhp and this one is running 185bhp with out any engine mods (dyno print out to prove) When I first got the car I had it serviced with new spark plugs also by Pete at Bike Tech in Padtsow and at the end of season I had the engine taken out by David at Richards Bros of Redruth and sent to Karl at extreme engines to check the engine over. The reason for doing this is because I wanted Karl to check the engine over as I was then planning on keeping the car and depending on what Kark said I was considering taking it up to 1400cc Karl said a really common problem with the Busa engine is that the 2nd and 6th gear dogs are not undercut and he replaces them all the time but never puts back in the same standard Hayabusa 2nd & 6th gears as he has seen them slip again in a little as 200 miles, so I decided that would be a better area to spend some money as Karl said that after inspecting the engine it was in great condition (Karl would be happy to verify this I'm sure) and power was never an issue anyway. He also blanked off the exhaust gas recirculation as its a waste of time having it on there. David Richards of Richards Bros who removed the engine bled the whole system dry and cleaned it thoroughly, put in new oil, changed the oil filter and changed the clutch fluid. Richards Bros got the Busa on the rolling road to run through the gears and check they were all working nicely which they were, whilst on the rollers David did a power run where the car produced 185bhp. The car is running so sweet since then, its amazing. The work carried out by Extreme engines and Richards Bros came to £1500. It has also just had a new 12 months MOT which it sailed through. I also had all of the rear 6 rose joints upgraded to the NMB military grade ones by Toniq Sports Cars as I was told they are indestructible and didn't think much of the Westfield ones. After that I had a Geo set up by Hatton Motorsport. The car has also literally just had 4 brand new road legal R888's fitted (SG compound) they've done about 20 miles. I have loads of documentation/receipts for the car, literally every receipt since birth including the stuff I have listed above. 2007 Westfield Megabusa SEIW 5-6k miles done since built Standard 1300cc Hayabusa engine (new oil, filter, plugs, coils this year) dyno print out done this year at with strong 185bhp Power commander 3r Westfield dry sump (new belt and tensioner fitted this year) Carbon air box Westfield reverse box Westfield alloy hubs all round Ap racing mc, wilwood 4pots at front 265mm discs(new this year), Sierra rear calipers with mintex 1144 pads Full caged cage with FIA padding Ab performance gearchange paddles using rods and a flatshifter pro for clutchless up and down shifts (new this year) Freelander 3.21 Quaife LSD Westfield Wide track front end Suspension all nylon bushed Protech shocks all round built/tested by Procomp (new this year) Playskool ARBs front/rear Carbon double bubble aeroscreen Carbon dash Carbon pedal cover Carbon csr cycle wings Carbon sill protectors Carbon moulded rear arch protectors Carbon winglets Caterham style front indicators 3" 6 point lightweight alloy willams Silverstone passenger harness Brand new Dash2 complete with DL1 logger fitted this year Dash uses full set of savage switches, with push button indicators using backoff module 7"x13" 3 piece image wheels with basically new Soft R888 tyres (205/60/13 all round) Carbon silencer new this year (also included standard Westfield stainless version with cat for MOT's) Omp 300mm suede steering wheel on extended and quick release steering column Lithium battery FIA cut off switch on dash Softbits Tonneau cover (new this year) I'll chuck in the Tonneau cover and a spare set of 4 used A048's for free for the buyer of the car.”

  5. Hey fellow competitors -not often I can say that Results for Shelsley Walsh have now been published and they seem to be correct for a change ..... I think we're getting the hang of this scoring lark now (probably spoken too soon). Obviously if there are any anomolies, just blame it on the weather Shelsley Walsh results (da Experts) Shelsley Walsh results (da Novices) Oh and and just to add, I have only published the last two practices as my spreadsheet won't acomodate 3 flippin practices!! If you do need to know what they were, give me a shout. Da Tiggs

  10. According to Javelin, it has only shortened the circuit by about 250 metres and the re-route is down to deterioration of the surface and the fact that the runway is being used again by planes. No change to the price and 15 days to transfer to another day, if we wanted to.

  14. Yes there are, which would include that of surface spread of flame. I'm avoiding commenting or speculating too much at the moment though as I'm in France and have been since the fire occurred. I would like to gather all the facts myself as to design of the building and who carried out the statutory inspections of the work before I say much more rather than relying on the media reports.

  16. Posted a similar response on a recent sales thread! First off, things do go wrong occasionally, we're all Human, well mainly.. And sometimes, for whatever reason, people don't follow the norms of net-etiquette. But, for the rest of us For buyers, (assuming you don't have lots of questions and just want to buy) Always use a two pronged approach, post immediately in the thread, either saying you would like to purchase the item, and that you will send a PM immediately to sort out the details of the sale. OR, that you would like to buy, but it's conditional on X. Again, send a PM to accompany the post. Near in mind though a couple of things when you make the sale conditional on something; if "X" is simply a case of the seller measuring the width of a part so that you can check it fits, that's reasonable. It may, for quite legitimate reasons not be possible for the seller to do so - they may work away from home during the week etc. For this reason, do not assume the seller is happy to go with this condition unless they say so. They may just read to the next post, where someone says that they'll have the part regardless and sell to them. That's fine, it's their choice. If on the other hand you ask something much vaguer, like I'd like to but your doodad, but will it fit my 2011 Mega Whatsit Turbo V12? Then do not be offended if you get no reply and the seller moves to the next offer. Remember, fro every seller that really knows Westfields and what parts will work elsewhere there are dozens that have no better idea that you. It's your job to do the research to see if the part will fit. The most you can ask is if they will hold a part for a short period while you check. And be fair, say "can you give me 24 hours to check" don't leave them hanging for days. Once posted and PM'd keep an eye on the thread, if you see them post again, and you've heard nothing, re post and re PM, politely asking if they got your previous message. Keep in mind that inboxes can very quickly fill on a popular item, especially if people ask questions by pm. Likewise, click on the sellers little avatar picture. On the profile page that pops up, under their display name it says when they last visited the Boardroom. Check this, if they've visited since you PM'd and you've heard nothing, assume they didn't get it, or didn't see it. Again, post in the sales thread. Sellers: out of common courtesy, we have an obligation to check our sales threads and our PM inboxed regularly. Clearing out old PM's as necessary. If outside life/work intervenes and you find yourself with a live ad, suddenly having to go away etc, where you will have on Internet access, pop a post up on the thread to say as much and give a rough idea when you will next be able to check in on things. One thing to note though, items are often for sale elsewhere, and it's not uncommon for sellers friends, local club members etc to spread the news about the item for sale, and for people to then contact directly, without even seeing the forum advert. It happens, as a buyer, it's annoying, but it's just life. And lastly, sorry to sound like a grumpy old fart, but enough already with "dibs", since the expression suddenly started being used in sales threads, it's caused lots of confusion about whether items were sold or not, and to whom. Leave it in the playgorund where it belongs.

  19. Trouble is "value" is very subjective. You would do worse than buying through this forum. I know the variety of cars is limited, especially over the summer months but normally cars go for "the right" amount which is about as close to value as you're going to get relatively speaking. Otherwise you need someone with you when you view which isn't always easy or convenient.
