Good to have you out again Tiggs Eventually and with more practice you will remember to put fuel in the car so you don't run out on track and also to fill your air bottle so you can change gear4 points

Is that the same as Canary yellow, do you know? It looks similar- in which case I have a pair of Canary yellow wings you could have for postage...3 points

Yes, mad - but great guys (and girl). Just don't share a bag of chips with them (nudge nudge, wink wink)! But if you do, we want to see the photos!3 points

Yes a good turnout indeed, even I turned up Was great to catch up with old friends and have a great laugh. Even beat my PB which was hard especially with all the perishing showers but then Wales would not be so green without them. Thanks all for your help and advice, I feel like I'm back in the driving seat now ....... yes Tiggs3 points

Not sure if Canary yellow is the same. I'll find out from Westfield tomorrow and if they're the same, I would like to take you up on that very kind offer. Thank you. I may have got the colour name wrong myself. I'll get back to you when I've spoken to the factory. Cheers, David2 points

Been to Orkney three times on diving holidays, stayed in a converted trawler and cruised around the wreck sites. The Italian chapel is truly remarkable also the naval museum at Lyness. Unfortunately we didnt see much more of the islands all our time seemed to be in the water or in the pub, great days. Love the pics keep them coming2 points

Pics look great, I owned "the Boghouse" (car on right in last photo) before John bought it off me and having done a few trips up into Scotland in it myself I'm sure he.....and the rest of you.....are having a great time regardless of the weather. Enjoy.1 point

OH DEAR. Firstly I would like to thank everyone for their help with my cable issue. I will write a better thank you when I have a better connection. All concerned know you you are and it was all very much appreciated. We left the Orkneys this morning at 6.30am and I arrived at my hotel at 10.15pm. What a full day of driving today. 386 miles and loved every minute.1 point

Rain is inevitable tomorrow - going to get drenched - but just to show it has been mostly sun and fun... Oh - and yes, before you say anything I know one of the cars has a screen - but that's Ken's and he joined in from darn sarf (although he's from up our way originally) - the rest of us are hardy Northern types1 point

FW is the name of the bodywork style, but handily, as they only made FW bodywork in wide versions, it does indeed also identify wide body Westfields! The power listed in the advert does mean it's at the upper end of the tuning options for a Ford Zetec, but Dunnel is a well recognised and respected name, when it comes to Ford tuning. For that level of power, he probably did spend around the £8000 mark though!! Provided it's looked after and not constantly ragged to death, there's no reason why it should be particularly unreliable, but you may need to budget for periodic engineer rebuilds, Dunnel could probably advise on what to expect though. As far as that specific car goes generally, it's tricky to get a complete picture from the photos provided, but nothing jumps out immediately at me. From the limited view under the bonnet, it generally looks neat and well executed though.1 point

Just make sure you use a brolly under it to "tent" it - then it's bone dry underneath. If the water 'pools' it will eventually drip through.1 point

@Madda - you will have seen him on that road on his way back from (or to) one of our Sunday Blats (get yourself along!)1 point

I don't know what you two have been up to but Ali looks worryingly pleased with himself, and Geoffrey looks like he's hoping that you haven't got more photographs!1 point

Black dog distance gauge, just look along the length towards the dog so you can see how long until the dog attacks Marcus.1 point

I reckon Ali and Geoffrey have got a sun tan, look at those tanned faces. What weather, what a trip.1 point

You need to use the link next to the paper clip below the text editor window, the one that says "click to choose files". Follow the instructions to browse to the photos on your machine, and select the ones you want. You will then see thumbnails of the images below the text box. You then need to select each one in turn and position it in the text that you write. (How you do this varies depending if you're on a pic/laptop or a tablet/phone). Its quite easy once you've done it the first time!1 point
