I'll go through the pictures I've took over the next couple of days and make them available. We had £69 left in the kitty so I'll make that up to £100 and gift aid to St Giles Hospice ( so they can claim the tax back ) with love from the Warwickshire WSCC. Thanks for your support.2 points

Well, it didn't work. The plastic just starte going in another spot. It's possible I could have re stuck it and added more JB weld, but unfortunately I drop kicked the fob down the garden and lost it So I took the upper steering column out and drilled off the old lock. (After removing the dash, unfastening the scuttle, cutting away the silicon etc, so that the scuttle would lift up enough to slide the column out.) Interesting to see that the old ignition/lock I bought (not that old, but from before these troublesome last few years) is so much smoother in action, and the key slips in and out very easily. oh yes, and it's stamped as a genuine Lucas part, as opposed to the no name pattern copy I removed. Would have probably given that a kicking too, but I'd have broken my toe! Still lots to put back together, but the column is back in and secured, as is the scuttle. Won't finish tonight though. most importantly though, I have two keys again!!2 points

So 7 months ago i started my winter upgrades. The upgrades started as planning as an engine and gearbox change from silvertop zetec and mt75 gearbox. Changing to what i planned to be a standard ST150 engine and type 9 gearbox. This (along with some carbon added) was meant to be the only change but as so often happens i got a little carried away with my self which caused a full strip and re build and as such the budget that id set to blown miles out of the water. Brand new Body work painted in kawasaki green. Re bushed all wishbones and a ton more carbon soon followed. The engine i purchased was an ST150 that had the internals re worked and fully re built, and an SPC type 9 box. Which againblew the budget even further. The engine is now running on jenvey throttle bodies and has a custom exhaust from AAS in newcastle. Car was meant to have the MOT 2 weeks ago but and oil leak from the gearbox put an end to that hope. Anyway shes passed today with flying colours. Time to put a few miles on the engine before it goes to JDM dyno on the 12th for a mapping session before i can fully enjoy it again.2 points

Hi Terry, I have tried that number but it just goes to voicemail I have left messages and texts but no reply. I also sent emails which have been opened but again no answer. I know he must be extremely busy and it is a thankless task so feel it would be rude to leave any more messages! Our entry money has not been returned so still hopeful!1 point

Thanks for all the comments men. Itching to get away from work but in Hereford all day. I hope the weather continues like it has been the past few days. Bobs car is yellow and Les is another red one. We will look like a bloomin scarf going down the road at this rate. @Garyt its about time you had that lawn down in the front of your house.1 point

Given the superb range of headgear Al comes up with, the car should probably be Hattie!1 point

Don't worry that your car hasn't got a yellow jersey Gary. You can be the "Lanterne Rouge"! My car (Custard) is a different yellow to everyone else's anyway. We need names for Bob & Ali's cars as well. Good Luck and enjoy the journey guys. See you next week. David1 point

Yup, the Rally Design rack is incredibly popular. Essentially though, you want a MK2 Escort fit rack, (Not RS2000). Although the upper steering column has varied over the years, the rack itself has stayed the same. HOWEVER, just 'cause Westfield designed it for the Escort rack doesn't definitively mean that's what you have! It's a kit car, people go there own way. We've only just had a case of this the other week, with someone asking about swapping their rack, only to find they'd got a really expensive, and rebuildable competition rack. So, whilst you've probably got a standard Escort rack of some description, the only way to be sure is to have a look, and as we always suggest, get some photos up, ideally with the nose cone removed, so that the racks casing can be clearly seen. That way, someone might just spot something that's been overlooked...1 point

Meet Abington Services 10:00. Hoping weather stays fine for Sunday - A few points on the planned route (see first post for link). About 130 miles from, and back to Abington services .I would estimate around 4 - 5 hours with a few stops. Generally all B roads, so lots of twists and turns, but should be little traffic. Cafe planned at 2/3 point (Carsphairn) Petrol at 80 mile point - but this is unmanned card only place. (Brim tanks at Abington essential) We can change route if we need to. Looking forward to a great day - I will be there whatever, but hopefully there will be at least 4 of us. Cheers, Dave.1 point
