  3. This year The Air Ambulance was the nominated charity for the Stoneleigh show. As some of you will have read in @Julie Hall - AO Representative, Peak District AO winter 2016 WW report we sadly lost member Ian Welch aka 'Molestrangler' in 2016. We asked Ian's wife Pat to nominate a Charity of choice and she chose The Air Ambulance. So we collected donations at Stoneleigh by selling tea, coffee, biscuits and crisps. We were also very generously given 8 charity drift rides by @Westfield Parts Dept @Julian Turner - Westfield Sportscars Ltd @Simon Westwood - Westfield Sportscars Ltd Westfield Sports cars Ltd which were raffled off over the weekend. We have managed to raise a total of £542.49p A very big Thank You to all who donated we were never expecting to raise this amount so all the fun of the weekend at Stoneleigh 2017 has also helped a very worthy cause.

  5. Didn't know it was 'take your Wesy to work day' today! But, I tend to use it more than my other car for commuting at this time of year anyway - saw the thread this morning so here's a quick snap... Excuse the stupid cheesy grin

  6. Hi guys, you may have noticed quite a big difference with my details, links and banners. I want to let you all know, this is a GOOD thing! Last year A-Plan Insurance purchased Cherished Vehicle Insurance, we have taken on the business here in our Thatcham office. All this means for you is that we have access to more schemes, so better premiums and we have a central telephone number so you won’t get lost in the branch network system. Nothing else changes, for the last few months all of our paperwork has been dual branded and that will continue. We are still the same team, still the same office, still the same relationship with the club! If you have any queries regarding this please feel free to PM me. Thanks Clare

  14. The role he had in The Cannonball Run, where he played a man pretending to be James Bond was so funny sending himself up. And as usual at the end of the film the outtakes were even funnier with him in them

  15. I've used both, not had any issues with ASH, have to say though, Viper's quality and range seemed a different level up again though, you did pay more, so both good value in their own way. Excellent service from Viper, too, when I cocked up a web order and managed to get a hose in a wrong colour mixed in with a load of black. All sorted very promptly and painlessly.

  18. Totally agree.. except Gangsters is a little mild but the filter won't allow the more appropriate words. Religion is a shallow excuse for this. Negative press towards the any group will creat both reactions from all sides. It's not religion it's the fact they are ***ts.

  19. I recently saw on Sky TV a migrant boat packed with young men aged 20 to 30 years old being rescued by Save the Children charity and given safe haven in Italy. The inflatable boat had crossed the Med. from Libya. We are regularly told that Libya is a failed state at civil war, with two warring factions, and not a safe place so those crossing the Med. will usually be given asylum rather than returned. The Manchester bomber (apparently had lived the last 10 years or more in UK) had returned from a holiday in Libya just days before the bombing atrocity and could have had training or contacts there or travelled on to Syria during his 3 week holiday. So is Libya a war zone or a holiday destination, as I am confused? And what about security monitoring anyone returning from there? After the July 2016 Nice truck attack, which killed 85 people, French Prime Minister Manuel Valls said "France will have to live with terrorism" and was heavily criticised for it as it's the last thing the public wanted to hear. Some tough decisions may be needed on movement of people and goods across Europe but are the politicians ready for it? Deepest condolences to the friends and family of those killed and wishing the badly injured as good a recovery as possible.

  20. I've just purchased from Wunoff. I took my old exhaust to them as it had an odd shaped piece that linked to the manifold. They fabricated a new piece and I had a lovely new exhaust that fitted perfectly. Quick to respond to emails and calls. Very impressive and including VAT I spent just over £300 (which included the new exhaust and the link piece). If only every company had such a genuine response to customer service. In regards to Westfield ... they always seem to have "supplier" problems no matter what you need. They are also, in my humble opinion (and only based on my own experiences), poor at letting you know about any delays.

  21. Best for quality consistency and service you can't really beat viper. Prob is they aren't the cheapest. https://www.viperperformance.co.uk/ I had no end of issues with autosiliconhoses but they were having supplier issues at the time which they've hopefully got sorted by now.

  25. That's fine, it's only pinned to a date in spirit... if it had rained today I wouldn't have anything to show for it either! As I was driving mine in I thought back to last year when I organised it on our local Facebook group and thought that the date must be soon, so when I got in and looked it up it turned out today... Next year it will be better organised

  26. Sure does, even though I only discovered it in the eighties. On a minor note, not rewatched it for years, I'd forgotten what good taste they had; clamshell wings no less!

  28. A sad passing, almost lost in a bad day. Such an amazing public speaker too. The Bond I grew up with, so always my favourite. I still remember seeing the Spy Who Loved Me at the cinema while on holiday with my parents, a huge build up to the films release had me bouncing off the walls with excitement, and I wasn't disappointed! After the film, dragged my dad around half the toy shops of Bournemouth as I had to have the toy Esprit and matching "Stromburg" Jet ranger helicopter, to shoot down with the little toy missiles the Lotus fired. happy days. And another little piece of childhood gone.

  29. Just spoke to Alun Morgan as I'm not on the list but sent entry as soon as regs were out. He remembers getting my entry and payment but isn't sure why my name's not on the preliminary list. He did mention that they are actually over-subscribed on entries though. Alun is working on the final entry list with car numbers today and plans to have final instructions etc out by the end of the week. Fingers crossed for all WSCC competitors getting an entry!

  37. I too share the revulsion over this. To me though there was a world of difference between the IRA and this scum. They tended to give warnings, not always, they went for in the main military targets and had what they saw as justification. They also did mind dying and that was a huge difference. Neither were justified at all but the IRA were like boy scouts at the side of this lot. This lot do not care for their own lives and by their actions how do you stop a single man running into a place like this and blowing themselves up? And as others have rightly said, the publicity feeds their sick and twisted ends as even children are infidels of no worth to them and they glorify the death of a Marta who carries out the attack. The issue is how do you stop them without curtailing freedoms? How do we respond as not all Muslims are evil or support them, yet they will be caught up in the horror. People will quote one mans terrorist is another freedom fighter and liken Mandela to their actions, quite wrongly, but one cannot avoid seeing that over the years terrorism has worked for many. But other than the death of all non believers what is their aim? They abuse the freedoms they have, by trying to remove the freedom of others by fear and force. In my opinion we need to stop pussyfooting around, any that are involved in any terrorist plot or action life in prison, no parole. I would re-instate the death penalty to be honest, others feel differently. I would come down hard on any internet operation like Facebook that allows any extremist group to spread their hate and fine them heavily, money is the route to curb their willingness to allow such actions, money will make them take action. We will see a difference, pictures of dead and mutilated kids in Syria on the news were okay for us to see, as it served a purpose to paint Assad and Putin as evil, but we will not see pictures of mutilated children in Manchester as somehow their deaths are more dignified, personal, private as they will not want to whip up hatred for any group as that is what they might want, to turn good Muslims into targets of aggression so they too join the fight. Targets like airports, Parliament, and the Royals have such protection now, it will be soft targets they attack, how can schools secure kids, or hospitals, shopping centres do that? We live in a world where there is still more good than evil, but one that has changed where slaughter is a currency, where good lives are taken too soon. My heart is aching for all involved. The victims, the families and the emergency workers who will never be quite the same again, the but I will not change what I do but wherever I go now I always look where the escape routes are just in case something happens.

  38. The media are giving these scum what they want, in a word, PUBLICITY. The IRA hid behind the banner of religon, these scum are doing the same, they are all just low level gangsters wanting to do bad things to 'normal' people.
