From the left, meeting at The Wheatsheaf, we have Dave, IanK, us, AndyR, Alan, Trevor, Rob and Owen, and Billy. 8 Westfields, fantastic, meaning there were a lot of panorama shots today. That is good news for me and bad news for the others, why?, because when Trevor is with us, he has everybody running from one side to the other, to try and get people into both sides of the photo, which is most hilarious. After coffee we set off on some big roads and then took a cheeky right turn and went up onto the tops, to smaller roads, no traffic and just the most fantastic views, it was stunning in the sunshine. We wiggled a circle back down to The Millstone Country pub, where I had booked a table for 10 people. The carvery and the normal menu were being served, all of it delicious and only empty plates went back. The pub is in a lovely place and this picture only catches part of the view. In the car park the 'Westfield Running Club' were diving in on my panorama shots again. You can see them on the left here but they are just not quick enough to get round to the other side before the camera stops, I hope that they can all drive a bit quicker than they can run!!! It took 3 attempts to get that shot, little did they know that if I had got the perfect shot first time I would not have told them, and I would keep making them run Glen and Dave look like they have been practicing their choreography, look at them, perfectly synchronized, I am impressed. And a shot below, taken after lunch, when everyone is feeling too full to run. Too full to run, but not too full to eat cake. Off we went again, on a scenic route, that cut out busy Bakewell, to land us at our favourite cafe, The Tea Junction in Hulme End. All the cakes are baked by the owner, Rebecca, who always comes out to see our cars, and today she blagged a ride for one of the waitresses. I took her up into the National Speed Limit zone, which she enjoyed very much. Cake, we have to have a cake photo, with the obligatory steering wheel in the shot. That's all folks, Westfield's scattered in every direction from there. That's just leaves me left to apologise for Glen finding his glove and spoiling all the fun and banter on the forum, the challenge is on for who can steal his glove and let it recommence, you lot are naughtier than me sometimes. Thanks for coming everyone, it's been a brilliant day out with such fun people.4 points

I'm a very proud dad today after watching my lad (14) cross the line after a hard 35 mile hike across Dartmoor . At one point this morning we didn't think they would make the 5.00 PM cut off time as there check point time were really slow and we had no Idea why as there is no communication with the team's. Unfortunately one of the their team was suffering with bad blisters on his feet the team helped him for around 10 mile Trying to get him to the finish, but I'm the end he crashed out as he knew he going to stop the team finishing .in the end the remaining 5 made up time and finished with 55 minutes spare. I take my hat off to the 2500 teenagers that took part in it and and the Army , Navy and Dartmoor rescue team and all the volunteers that put this event together and watch over everyone .3 points

Are these the ones given out at stonleigh? Are they going to be available to purchase by any chance? I need a tool roll and if I can put some money back into the club at the same time would be good.2 points

Thanks Julie & Glen for organising another great day out. I do believe those roads today are the best me and the Westfield have driven on! Also was great to meet some new people and finally meet Dave Eastwood. Got back at 18:30 ... just under two hours with only a two minute hold up at Baslow so I can't complain. Looking forward to the next one :-)2 points

Weekend of cleaning in prep for next weekend. Saturday saw the removal of the seats to deep clean the cockpit and touch in some marks, no carpets to worry about but despite only being four bolts per set my arms are now ripped and bruised to hell, space is tight. All wheels removed, arches cleaned, wheels waxed and suspension cleaned up Second set of new mirrors fitted, tiny but convex lenses give great field of view. Swapped out the original and grubby 5 3/4" headlights for a shiny new pair of 7" units with LED DRLs - pretty essential in something as small as this1 point

It was a good event with a lot of cars, they seem to have improved the facilities since the last visit, I did see quite a few Westfields, some of which I had not seen before and did manage to catch up with some of the others. Weather was great as well and the roads were not too bad so a good journey there and back.1 point

It was great to finish cost neutral for me - sold some parts and met Matt to buy his windscreen mounts which I've fitted today. My main decision was free - take off my spare wheel & carrier to save some weight and for looks too. Although I did buy a new number plate and a tin of tyre seal for emergencies. I copied Scotts solution to plug the holes at the bottom- cup head bolts with CF wrap1 point

I've had a call from David Taylor from Longton. David has confirmed the circuit is closed until such times as the liquidators establish who is liable for what. All staff have been paid off. Longton will continue to take entries for all of their remaining events including the one later this month. David confirms that in the event the sprint cannot go ahead, LDMC Will refund your entry fee. It's ultimately up to you if you decide to enter, and possibly don't get to compete. LDMC are doing their up most to honour their events in a situation which is ultimately beyond their control.1 point

Hey up, what do you reckon to this, we got home after our holiday today and Glen has found his glove. He had been saying 'I bet it is on the shelf above the pedal box' and it was. It had single handedly made it's way up there, groan. But, no seriously, it is found, that's about £60 saved. It was my fault, of course, I had moved it apparently when I moved the car to the side of the tent1 point

One of my favorite Westfield photos ever. It would be a great shot of a car, on its own, but the setting and the occupants transform it into a perfect frozen moment of what owning the cars should be about1 point

ok I think some may have missed it - it looks like the chap behind David is going in for a kiss and Mark doesn't want to watch - oh well made me smile1 point
