  1. It was great to finish cost neutral for me - sold some parts and met Matt to buy his windscreen mounts which I've fitted today. My main decision was free - take off my spare wheel & carrier to save some weight and for looks too. Although I did buy a new number plate and a tin of tyre seal for emergencies. I copied Scotts solution to plug the holes at the bottom- cup head bolts with CF wrap

  2. Sat here in the middle of nowhere for 20 mins with the odd car passing then a red golf gti drives past and shouts ' westfield fw ?' I says yes then he says just ordered one ! Asked him to make sure he joins wscc and he said he already has!

  3. This year The Air Ambulance was the nominated charity for the Stoneleigh show. As some of you will have read in @Julie Hall - AO Representative, Peak District AO winter 2016 WW report we sadly lost member Ian Welch aka 'Molestrangler' in 2016. We asked Ian's wife Pat to nominate a Charity of choice and she chose The Air Ambulance. So we collected donations at Stoneleigh by selling tea, coffee, biscuits and crisps. We were also very generously given 8 charity drift rides by @Westfield Parts Dept @Julian Turner - Westfield Sportscars Ltd @Simon Westwood - Westfield Sportscars Ltd Westfield Sports cars Ltd which were raffled off over the weekend. We have managed to raise a total of £542.49p A very big Thank You to all who donated we were never expecting to raise this amount so all the fun of the weekend at Stoneleigh 2017 has also helped a very worthy cause.

  4. Meet at The Wheatsheaf, 11.00am for a run around the Peak District. If you are new and have not met us before, Glen is the man wearing one glove. Weather forecast is dry, who is coming out to play?

  7. Just back from the Bentley Drivers Club sprint at MIRA, usual great paddock comraderie and banter which made for a very enjoyable day. However we were all a bit disappointed for the last car to return to the paddock and just after 3.30pm and to have no further runs. Got the two practice and two timed but there was easily enough time for another run at least. Shame because otherwise it was a really great event and fantastic to see new faces and friendly faces again.

  8. Shame Leon weren't so good, hope back ok and he's feeling better. He definitely wouldn't have coped with the mountain twisted. Just got back - out for 8 hours, fantastic day.

  9. Just to let you know it all looks good for tomorrow. Kids are as healthy as can be expected and the car is running okay (albeit a bit lumpy at tick over) so I should be there for 11:00 tomorrow morning.

  11. I've had a call from David Taylor from Longton. David has confirmed the circuit is closed until such times as the liquidators establish who is liable for what. All staff have been paid off. Longton will continue to take entries for all of their remaining events including the one later this month. David confirms that in the event the sprint cannot go ahead, LDMC Will refund your entry fee. It's ultimately up to you if you decide to enter, and possibly don't get to compete. LDMC are doing their up most to honour their events in a situation which is ultimately beyond their control.

  13. This is also a record amount for us and a massive increase on last year. Fantastic job done by all, we should be rightly proud. Can we top it next year...?

  14. I have let Pat know how much was raised and she was pleased that we had remembered her and Ian. This well organised club is also a thoughtful club, very nice.

  15. Sorry I'll miss this, have to work on sunday morning. I'll try and meet up sometime this year, but time is tight - I seem to have got involved in a wedding type senario! People wonder how I can afford to spend money on a toy car - it's cause I've never been married! Any dreams of a cobra or GT40 are postponed indefinitely

  24. Once again I proved that if I get closer than 100 yards to a Westfield, it rains. I only saw the one Eleven, and what an example. The mechanical detail is first class.
