  8. When head to Skye, we will go from Glencoe and head towards the ferry at Glenelg. The ferry crossing will be £15.00 each car. http://skyeferry.co.uk There is all the north of the island around the Quiraing and Staffin and of course the Fairy Glen and fairy pools. Does anyone fancy have a go at axe throwing. http://www.ace-skye.com/activities/axe-throwing What about if someone who has not been to Skye, just takes the lead and we go where we go.

  9. What I have is a late CVH EFI flywheel. They are just over 6 kg and have marks for crank sensor. Bolt pattern is the same as 1800/2000 zetec all you need to do is drill out to 11mm. You can use a 1.6/1.8 early mondeo clutch that will have the same splines as a type 9 Or have it drilled to take a pinto clutch. Ring gear is the same so re use starter. A number of people on here have used them as have a number of other cars which use the zetec engine so they are getting rare now (the EFI ones). I'm looking for £75. I'm at Stoneleigh on Sunday.

  12. Looks like axe throwing it is. I dont fancy been stood agains the board with @ziplob throwing the axes at me though. Here is a route for our day in Durness. We can call innate the Crask Inn and it is Britains most isolated pub. If the weather is nice we can always have a walk to Sandwood bay beach. Its just over an hours walk to and from the beach but its worth it. I usually leave Durness around 7.30am and get back to my hotel around 11.00pm and even though it is a remote area there is so much to see. More than happy to just spend the day around Durness and potter about. Loch Eriboll is beautiful and I can drive round there at 10mph all day long.

  13. You should be fine James. You're a WSCC member so for that reason alone you're welcome on our pitch and to drink our tea. There's normally a few "non-westfields" on our pitch, just introduce yourself as a member to the parking marshalls when you arrive and they will show you where to leave it.

  15. I'm sure it will be fine. Just blow it out as much as you can with an airline and then perhaps finish off with a blow dry! I'm sure I've used fuel hose for my radiator bleed to coolant tank. Mine has been soaked numerous times due to my various coolant system tweaks etc.

  16. Thanks Tom, we are more worried about the alternator , as we can potentially botch some hose. We are going to strip it and check it doesnt short out as the water just filled it as is right above the leak !! Right , off the the workshop

  30. Just finished loading the car up, damn, I'd forgotten till I started that I normally come down in the tintop on the Saturday; I'd forgotten Westfielding down would mean getting over a dozen 2m whip flags and a spare roll bar in the Westfield, plus the camping gear! Oh well, less to bring back, I suppose.

  32. If you spend 40 grand, yes forty grand ( I was informed by WSC) on a stand and advertising your cars £30 worth of paint and a few hours labour is f*** all. If you want to sell your products you aim to get them looking 100% on the largest kit car show in the UK thats nearest your own factory, so you cant question travelling hundreds of miles. Looking at other manufacturers products they just seemed to make more effort in getting it right, thats all.

  36. This will be the route on the first full day. I have never been to the area on the left before so it will be a good explore. BOB. If you wanted to travel in Gary's car down Glen Etive and Lorna jumped in with me, then we could all get down to the loch at the bottom of Glen Etive. I only suggest you getting in with Gary as his car is bigger.

  41. Some unscientific numbers here: Tallow is rendered cow or mutton fat, but for the sake of argument let's go with cows here. How much do cows weigh? Between 1,100kg for a male (bull) and 720kg for a female. So, on average, a cow weighs 910kg.The body fat content of an average cow is 25 percent. Therefore, the amount of fat in an average cow's body is 227.5kg.How many kilograms of this fat is contained in offcuts you could use to make tallow? About 40kg, according to a man at the James Elliott butcher in Islington. How much tallow is used in one note, according to the Bank of England? "A trace", which chemically means less than 100 parts per million, or 0.01 percent. A polymer consultant I called confirmed that the tallow present in a given polymer would be a fraction of a single percentage.New £5 notes weigh 0.7g, therefore there is roughly 0.00007 g of tallow present in one £5 note. How many fivers are in circulation now, and therefore will be around by May of 2017, when all the old paper ones have been phased out? 329 million notes. To work out how much tallow will be used in total in all of these fivers, we need to multiply 0.00007g by 329 million, which gives us 23,030g, or 23kg. And if you get about 40kg of tallow-worthy fat from the average cow, how many cows would you need to make every single £5 note in circulation?Just over one half a cow. How many cows do we slaughter in the UK each year? An estimated 26 million. There will be millions of banknotes contaminated by meat products from either the seller or buyer of said meat product who handled the note, plus heaven knows what else anyone's been touching, and I haven't seen or heard of anyone refusing to touch a banknote until they've been disinfected. People really are hypersensitive muppets sometimes.
