  1. So 7 months ago i started my winter upgrades. The upgrades started as planning as an engine and gearbox change from silvertop zetec and mt75 gearbox. Changing to what i planned to be a standard ST150 engine and type 9 gearbox. This (along with some carbon added) was meant to be the only change but as so often happens i got a little carried away with my self which caused a full strip and re build and as such the budget that id set to blown miles out of the water. Brand new Body work painted in kawasaki green. Re bushed all wishbones and a ton more carbon soon followed. The engine i purchased was an ST150 that had the internals re worked and fully re built, and an SPC type 9 box. Which againblew the budget even further. The engine is now running on jenvey throttle bodies and has a custom exhaust from AAS in newcastle. Car was meant to have the MOT 2 weeks ago but and oil leak from the gearbox put an end to that hope. Anyway shes passed today with flying colours. Time to put a few miles on the engine before it goes to JDM dyno on the 12th for a mapping session before i can fully enjoy it again.

  3. Hi Folks, I built a Westie in 1997 with my own concoction of salvaged parts and took it to track days for a few years. Shortly after, wife and kids occurred and Westie was effectively put into retirement. However now the kids are big enough to help, we're going to start making another Westie, this time with the luxury of all new parts from the factory.I'm based in Cheddar - anyone close by?Steve.

  5. I am the only one to think this is a rather unfortunate name for a hand cream..? Mind you it did give me a legitimate opportunity to walk into the beauty counter area and ask the very beautiful young ladies if they could provide me with ahem "..." without getting arrested - again...

  6. Hi, i just thought I should introduce myself as I've finally joined and just started building my car. I'm building an S2000 car for the road and also to do some sprinting and the odd race here and there. I've still got my race licence so it would be rude not to use it. I'm building it as and when I can afford it so it may take a year or so, maybe longer. This is how far I've got so far. A long way to go but I'm enjoying it. I hope to see you all out on some runs/pub meets in the future. Cheers. Tommy

  10. These look like the latest factory ones. @a15cro I don't think RD do rear upright kits so their price is for front only. the factory kit is considerably more

  16. I am 100% impressed with the V8. It really is so easy to use and the suction is amazing. It is way better than I imagined it would be.

  17. Just seen the Dyson v6 animal in sainsburys for £220. Not sure if this is good or not but I guess the v8 would sound better.

  19. No worries - they're much more substantial than the bolt on brackets available from the factory!

  24. Your local garage should heve either a hydraulic press or a tool that can press stuff in and out of fitments. I recently had new front (cortina) bearings pressed into my uprights and he just asked for £10 for 15 or so minutes work.

  25. Sorry, I'm not in cheddar but Stoneleigh kit car show is on this Sunday Monday and the factory may be doing offers. Even if there not it's a perfect opertunity to see a large number of cars and owners all in one place.
