I've come to work in the Eleven today as I need to call in with it to a nearby fibreglass company (to arrange for a few bodywork bits and pieces to be done). The running in of the engine is progressing well so cruising down the A34 at 3,500rpm in top kept me up nicely with the Lane 2 traffic. The usual stops at our local newsagent and the BP garage at Didcot (collecting sandwiches) were lengthened with people coming to ask what it is and to take photos! I even chatted with a Westfield owning lorry driver at the garage. I shall be running home to Oxford over the Berkshire Downs so today will be a good day!2 points

50 Kit cars, do I need to say any more? Possibly the biggest gathering of kits outside of the Stoneleigh/Silverstone type events. With free entry and refreshments, I do not understand why more Westfield's were not there. It was worth the 1.5 hour journey for me, only 10 minutes of that was on the A1, good job because it was freezing today. A Westfield sandwich at McDonalds, Ollerton Chris was there too but on the other side of the car park With Trevor and Paul in the Tigers, and Chris and Mo in a Westfield, we just squeezed into the car park. Ian and Charlotte were already there, Andrew and Pete virtually followed us in. Other cars just kept arriving, more and more, it was an excellent turn out. After a couple of hours we decided we were all hungry and Andrew knew of a cafe nearby, so we followed Ian there. Eh? Glen decided we all needed our photograph taking, so he practiced on Ian, Charlotte and me first Then he roped everyone else in, they are a reluctant lot, hidey boo After lunch Westfields scattered in every direction and a good day was had by all. Thank you to everyone that came today, it was great to see you.2 points

Adam at CleaR Motorsport set my car up last week, yesterday was the first chance i had for a quick blat, the car felt very planted and a vast improvement. Trackday at Blyton tomorrow to give it a real test, but feeling very confident. Adam was more than happy to explain exactly what he was doing and why he was doing it. He even looked at some other issue i had with the car...(got 70mm of travel on the throttle pedal now Adam) i would definitely recommend Adam and CleaR Motorsport to anyone needing their car setting up... fantastic service, very knowledgable and a nice fella too. thanks again Adam, will sort some trackday tutition soon... Cheers Greggs...1 point

Well, 1000cc could be anything from a hatchback-derived 60bhp 4-banger to a 160bhp bike engine. Generally you pick the class you think you would fit in, and if you're markedly faster/slower the Javelin guys will move you up or down accordingly. To give you an idea, F1 has had a 400bhp Sylva Phoenix on slicks, a 280bhp Mazda-powered kit on AR1s and an R500 on Avons. F2 has Barny, me with a farty old Fiat twink (160ish bhp) on R888Rs, a Caterham R400 on Avons and Richard in an 1100cc GPZ-powered Locost on slicks. F3 had no runners today, but usually has a 105bhp K-series Caterham and a 1.3 X-flow Locost. While I had a remarkably shocking day today, myself, the R400 and the GPZ Locost have all beaten each other at various points over the last couple of years so it's a lot of fun. You just to need to take a more relaxed approach to the classes than MSA events and enjoy the track time1 point

Well done today mate, beautifully driven! A godawful day for me results wise but still a lot of fun trying to keep it on track1 point

Sounds brill Only reason I've not had a go yet is availability Looking at results Recon I'd have been low/mid 20s overall based on last wscc Blyton times.1 point

Yep - can see most of that. I did expect you to do well though - good driver and well developed sprint car. But class structure very broad, would be poo for me competing against you in my Lardy lower powered Westie. Mines a bit nearer but still not a competitive Westfield in SS.1 point

Looks like they got the forecast a little bit wrong. It still says it should be raining hard right now. Luke.1 point

Nice advert, but IMHO you would have more chance of selling the kit on MX5Nutz. That will not fit in a Westfield as it stands. It will need a new manifold and downpipe for sure. I think you also need to consider that most second hand turbo kits are priced a lot lower than yours on Nutz GLWTS though1 point
