Well fingers crossed that I have sorted out the clutch issue on my engine and will be joining the fun this weekend. Looks like a decent entry from the Westfield crowd and we should get quite a few runs ! Bring lots of fuel See you there late Friday night3 points

Took part in a track evening at Teesside Autodrome last night. At £35 for three hours open pit lane it makes a good test day. Myself and pal Stoney were both checking out various gremlins, .. mine being the miss fire I seemed to pick up at Knockhill last year. I've tried all the usual stuff, fuel pump, pipework, filter, plugs, leads, dzzy cap and rotor arm etc. was convinced I found the problem last time out at Blyton.. bad connections in the dizzy cap.. but first session last night.. dam dam dam and dam some more.. it still missed like a pig! Spoke to a rolling road chappie a few days about it, and he suggested it could be the battery. Now I knew my battery wasn't in top condition, but it always started the car first kick, and the alternator always showed a healthy 14.** volts. I'm no lecky, but my plan B was to borrow a battery if the car still played up. Unfortunately the red Westy broke a wishbone second session, so he was out. Making like a Vulture I ripped the battery out of the dead Westy.. (Not really.. ) and did a couple of sessions on a healthy battery. Hey presto miss fire gone. New battery ordered this morning. Pal has a wishbone coming from WSC too. So, to the video. A bit of a chase going on with Stoney when Rich Kerr makes a guest appearance. @Scottish Bloke3 points

Tels’s Tales Rockingham 26th March 2017 Well what a way to start my season! Spent most of the winter putting spare engine in and doing several other mods so hoped for a good shakedown but my clutch failed to work after convoy sighting run. I was not too pleased to say the least but Steve offered me a double drive in his car so at least I would get out on track. The day was bright, warm and sunny so the other 12 competitors got ready to score good points in both Expert as well as Novice classes. It was good to see some old faces as well as some new ones joining in this year’s competition which has around 60 registered drivers. In the Novice class B1 four people battled it out over the 2 practice and 2 timed runs. Steve Carpenter came out top with Simon Jones, Roz Kennett and Matt Haynes getting quicker throughout the day. Paul Beesley blasted round in the busa for a fastest time of 78.13secs and he was quickest novice. In class A2 Mark Bishop beat George Newrick by nearly 4 secs whilst Barny Francis was fastest Westfield on the day with 76.45 secs and Steve Everall had a good run with 79.92secs despite a clutch and gearbox problem but he was happy to be back on ZZR tyres. Craig Spooner went well in class C with a best of 81.61 secs whilst Michael Skidmore’s first timed run was his best with 84.52 secs In class J2 Pete Goulding was second in his class so picked up 100 points. For most this was a great start to the season but I spent 9 hours on Monday diagnosing and trying to rectify the problem on the spare engine I am using for the moment. It had been stood in my garage for since a rebuild 18 months ago so I did not expect to have problems ……but that’s motorsport. I hope to be ready to set off for Anglesey on Friday so hope to see you there either in your cars or spectating Terry Everall Class G competitor3 points

Excellent work oh mighty Tiggs! Shall we just call it a day now then? Been a good season, highs and lows and all that, but I'm ready to call it quits - anyone else?!2 points

So a bit of genuine competition and a sneaky £10 on Seb V at 4 to 1 made it worth getting up!1 point

For sale is my blue Fabia VRS SE, number 159 of 1000 made. I have owned the car for 6 years. Only selling now to buy a bigger car. 12 months MOT with no advisories. Fully synthetic oil changes every 7,000 miles. Lots of history and receipts. Last oil change at 96,800. Cambelt and tensioner plus water pump replaced at 93,500 miles. Drives superb. Four Goodyear Asymmetric 2 tyres. Unmodified, original car. Great condition inside and out. The only problem I am aware of is the alloys wheels have some paint bubbling. McGard wheel bolts. Noise killer soundproofing kit. Car located in Derby. Please call 01332 494098 or 01332 898658 or PM for any extra information. Thanks for looking, Steve.1 point

.... and we're off. Like a herd of highly strung Race horses chomping at the bit, the first race has been run and the bean counters have made up some figures so lets see how the chips fell. Firstly we have the so called "Experts", technically they should be called "People who have been racing for ages but not necessarily won anything" but it won't fit on my spreadsheet so Experts they are!! Rockingham Results (Experts cough cough) Next up, we have the "Novices", now they could actually be Ayrton Senna but only done under 25 races so don't be fooled by the name, I mean, Look at how perishing fast Barny drives ...... I think we're going to have to check he's not on steroids ya'know. Rockingham Results (Novices) Enjoy the read, I'm here all year Tiggs1 point

P.s. ditch the heater you will never need it. The underslung exhaust and massive gearbox will warm your whole body on any day you can safely drive a small beastie like that.1 point
