  1. Well the season gets underway this weekend folks, so can all you folk attending this weekends event get some updates on the Facebook page as the event progresses if you can manage it. I know time is of a premium when your competing but if week could get a few minutes of live feed that would be great. Lets spread the word on the Speed Series.

  8. the linked cutters are counterbores. they will cut fine in a drill as long as hole in ht epart is the right size for the counterbore. ie the ones linked id assume that the m8.3x13.4 is the clearance drill size and the slot cutting size as they are designed for cap head screws not hex head. also they are all non standard sizes a standard m8 counter bore would be 8.5x14.

  10. What about boring the hole so the nut sinks into the hole? You should be able to get a boring bit cheap enough of eBay and it would look neat. Something like this... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/A-Pilot-Slotting-Tool-Counterbore-Mould-End-Mill-Cutter-Solid-Slot-Drill-Bit-BG-/291905752788?var=&hash=item43f6f04ed4:m:mqcrEzr1MLML4zIUadrK0wQ

  11. Shame, I liked it as it was although thought that as things progressed the believability decreased. Good luck to Edd; I hope his home video editing skills improve though, and he can progress beyond one sentence, one cut

  12. I've been so impressed with the amount, type and complexity of the work you have undertaken. A whole engine swap! As a complete novice, you are my inspiration to 'have a go'. I'm sure you can do it or just use your phone as a speedo

  13. Recommend you get down to some local meets to look over/tyre kick and have some passenger rides. & Stoneleigh will be over run with us so plenty to looksee. Your title doesn't mention zetec, but they're great reliable tunable engines and you'll get a lot more Westie for your hard earned! Mines a 179bhp 1.8 zetec Silvertop (BLiNK Motorsport tuned) & It's brill. IMO 160-180bhp with good geo makes great all year road / track drivability.

  16. Oh crumbs, here goes, I am really sorry but I have just booked a holiday and therefore we will not be going to this event. You know that stick from last weekend? well feel free to hit me with it, when you see me next Have yourselves a brill time and eat lots and lots of cake. On the upside we are coming back early, on Friday evening, just so we don't miss the Curborough Breakfast meet
