  1. A young Portsmouth woman was so depressed that she decided to end her life by throwing herself into the sea, but just before she could throw herself from the wharf, a handsome young man stopped her. "You have so much to live for," said the man. "I'm a sailor, and we are off to Australia tomorrow. I can stow you away on my ship. I'll take care of you, bring you food every day, and keep you happy." With nothing to lose, combined with the fact that she had always wanted to go to Australia , the woman accepted. That night the sailor brought her aboard and hid her in a small but comfortable compartment in the hold. From then on, every night he would bring her three sandwiches, a bottle of red wine, and make love to her until dawn. Two weeks later she was discovered by the captain during a routine inspection. "What are you doing here?" asked the captain. "I have an arrangement with one of the sailors," she replied. "He brings me food every day and I get a free trip to Australia." "I see," the captain says 'and thats all is it?' Her conscience then got the better of her and she added, "Plus, he's screwing me." "He certainly is," replied the captain. "This is the Isle of Wight Ferry."

  2. Yes please, winter too. Oh, which car park will we be in next month Mr Red Spider, will it be the obvious big, open area as you drive into the car park? Or, will it be the tight little one, hidden around the back, where nobody can find you?? Only we need to know so we can push Ron's car in the right direction . It's hard work for me and Marcus to watch Glen and Ron shoving his car around the car park. Oh, what a laugh today has been, I love going out with the Yorkshire lot.

  6. Brilliant day out, Robin, thank you, what a brilliant idea. Just when you think it is a pub meet and home, Barry comes up with a great idea to go to a Hall place for a car show. and then great idea number 2, lets go to the Oil Can Cafe, always a winner that one Barry I will look forward to the next one. In the meantime here are some pictures from the car show. Sorry, Robin, about you getting wet, I need some practice with putting my roof up. You will be glad to know it is back to Westfielding now. MX5 is for Blyton only.

  8. Finally got around to fitting mine today! Great bit of kit - even allows you to replace the big hazard switch with a Savage one as a bonus.

  16. Oh yes, it was a nice surprise when John and Jacky came along, but John's recent rather personal operation was the subject of much hilarity.

  17. A great addition to the West Yorkshire calendar of events :-) Hit a rather large cats eye on the way back whilst going round some cyclists which has reshaped my chassis roll hoop :-/

  18. Car still for sale so time for another bump and slight price reduction to £9250. This car is truly immaculate and an ideal first single seater for someone.

  20. Let's face it no matter what the circumstances 35 in a 30 shouldn't even invoke points let alone a totting up ban. Modern cars can stop in half the distance of the figures in the massively outdated highway code. Speed limits and their punishments need an overhaul in general. 20mph outside a school is perfectly sensible during daylight hours. 20mph throughout a whole city 24/7 is a joke. To drive on today's "smart" motorways you need to spend more time looking at your speedo and the overhead gantries to see what the current speed limit is than actually looking at the road ahead. They should have given her a big fine as she can afford it and put the money into improving the roads or the NHS who actually need it.

  22. Yeah, I suspect you're both right; the lowline car has a different nose and bonnet to a high line version. But the scuttle does have to be the right bodywork version. I would guess it will be at least "kit" bodywork? (As opposed to the later, and still current ZK bodywork).
