  7. ...a free Club Tool Roll for all club members! (Tools not included, obviously!) Robust and made from tough polyester, it has 22 individual compartments plus holders for 8 x 1/4" drive sockets and 7 x 3/8" drive sockets; press toggles for adjusting the length of the securing cords; and a handy carrying handle. (It has also passed the fearsome Lady Chairman Inspection Test ©, so quality is assured. ) It's the ideal thing for the boot box or behind the seat in your Westfield, and it's our way of giving back to our wonderful members. OK, now the dreaded Ts & Cs - read them carefully, I shall type this only once. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a blatant, unapologetic bribe to get the best possible member turnout at Stoneleigh - it's as simple as that. You will only get a free Club Tool Roll if: > You attend the National Kit Car Show at Stoneleigh, Warwickshire on 30 April -1 May 2017 > You are a WSCC Member, Joint Member, Trader, or Sponsor The procedure will be simple - you can collect your Tool Roll when you collect your name badge in the outside marquee. This will make it easy for us to ensure only members receive a Tool Roll, and that they each receive only one. What will not be allowed: > Taking more than one Tool Roll > Collecting a Tool Roll for another member who can't make it to Stoneleigh > Posting a Tool Roll before Stoneleigh - collection at Stoneleigh only > Reserving a Tool Roll before the show - too complicated, too resource tapping. Show up early to avoid disappointment We have a limited quantity of these and they will be distributed strictly on a first come, first served basis. Any left over after the show will be taken to Silverstone where the same procedure will apply - we will have the leftover name badges from Stoneleigh so we will know who didn't make it to Stoneleigh and is therefore entitled to a free Tool Roll. After Silverstone, if there are any left, we will send them out to any overseas member who asks for one. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The National Kit Car Show is a great event, and the WSCC have by far the biggest presence of any club there. The Stoneleigh Organising Team do a fantastic job putting together a terrific show and great time with no reward apart from seeing happy members and the gratification that comes with giving back to the club. Between this and all the other things the club and the show have to offer, you'd be mad to miss it, SO LET'S BE HAVING YOU THERE!!! ...and before any of our fashion conscious members asks, this is the only colour scheme available!

  8. Hello fellow compititors, With the 2017 almost upon us, I have updated the calendar for events on the link below. There are links to most of the Organising clubs with quite a few Regs / Forms or even online entries linked too. If you notice any are wrong or missing, please let me know and I will happily update them. Currently missing the April Anglesey events & May Curborough event so if anybody can find them, give me a shout. Speed Series Regulations and Fixtures Tiggs

  9. OK folks - the Speed Series previous results pages will need to be rewritten to suit the new site design. This will take a bit of doing though - as they are in a very different format, are quite involved and have a lot of data in them! So in the mean time - I have found where the old versions are buried and here's some links for you. NOTE: the left hand navigation WILL NOT WORK. The links are no longer correct and you will not be able to navigate using them! The top right menu seems to be intact - so in theory you should be able to access the required info. I'm sure Tigger and Andy will have some ideas on how to add this archived data back in, so will leave that to them - but for now hope this helps: http://wscc.co.uk/BACKUP20170301/speedseries/2016/Expert/ http://wscc.co.uk/BACKUP20170301/speedseries/2016/Novice/ http://wscc.co.uk/BACKUP20170301/speedseries/2015/ http://wscc.co.uk/BACKUP20170301/speedseries/2014/ http://wscc.co.uk/BACKUP20170301/speedseries/2013/ http://wscc.co.uk/BACKUP20170301/speedseries/2012/

  12. Finally received all 400 tool rolls that were ordered, delivered in 14 boxes in 8 separate deliveries - what a colossal waste of resources when they could have waited and delivered it in one. Now at screen printers having club logo applied, will be ready in plenty of time for Stoneleigh!

  13. How old are your 888's? They're pretty much perfect as a track tyre for the Westfield so I'd be surprised if you were struggling with them, unless they're old. What do you want from your tyre? Do you want all out track grip and are willing to sacrifice some road comfort/wet performance for it? Are you on a budget? All these are more important than going with what others talk about. If it helps at all, I have run a pretty good selection of tyres on my Westfield now and have found that how much you're willing to spend and what you expect the tyre to do is way more important than going with brand. I now run a set of used slicks on track (cost £150 for a set of 12 with 4 minilights!), a set of falken ze912's for road (awesome tyre, £30 a corner and super predictable), a set of kumho v700 supersoft (moving to Avon zzr for this season) for sprinting. I also had a set of r888 in sg compound which I found great for track work and ok on road in the dry but unpredictable in the cold/wet. Also had a048r's and found the same. Also ran medium compound zzr on trackdays, these were fantastic but do wear quickly. That prompted me to move to a dedicated road tyre and a dedicated track tyre, as when I'm on track I want the maximum grip available, not a compromise. I can also recommend Michelin Pilot Sport 3 - we have these on our shared Mazda mx5 track hack and they're fantastic - plenty of grip, predictable and willing to let go when pushed!

  15. And if weight is an issue just use 2 litres less fuel. The starvation problem will be resolved so you won't need a high "minimum" amount that you do without one.

  16. Correct, except that there is one scrutineer who is apparently colour blind! He objected to me using black numbers directly onto the red bodywork of my car. He didn't fail me, but strongly suggested I should get a white background to put the numbers on. Fortunately I only came across him twice, so ignored his advice.

  17. This is usually the case but sometimes people who wish to promote businesses also get an MSA entrants licence so that the company name appears on the entry lists etc. This 'may' be the case with Iain as he has a company. If not, then its just driver as Terry says

  21. Pistonheads pretty good and a third of Autotrader cost last time I used them. If cash payment insist on paying into bank before releasing car as many counterfeit bank notes about (£50 notes the most likely to be fake). If cheque payment then it must clear thru your bank account before car released etc. If buyer wants to do a bank transfer I would avoid this for two reasons; firstly if the transaction was done fraudulently using someone else's account then the transfer could be reversed and secondly I would not want a stranger to have my name ,address and bank account no. with sort code. Write out two receipts showing car details/ reg no./sale price/date plus name and address details of you and buyer--also stating "sold as seen". You both sign each copy under name and retain one each. Send completed sale/transfer part of V5 to DVLA. Unexpired road tax refund cheque posted to you by DVLA and buyer needs to buy new road tax online before driving off. Should you ask potential buyer to prove I.D. and insured for your car before he drives it (in case the worst happens)?
