So following on from my Health food thread, I thought I might start another of things that really annoy me. Hold Music, on the phone the other day after negotiating the self service menu, put on hold and the music was so loud it was distorting. Being asked if they can help anymore at the end of the call, when you have dealt with the issue you have. Can they come and decorate is met with lots of turnings of scripts in India. Checkout operators who want to have long conversations with people in front over rubbish instead of getting a move on. Anything to do with global warming Vegans who want to convert me The Kardashians and in fact any other reality stars young men who walk around with trousers around their knees, funny as they walk like a penguin, but annoying. Over to you lot now lets get a good long grumpy list

About time too. Managed a healthy 140 mile blast today, Whitchurch, Ruthin, Denbigh, Cerrigydrudion, (Bacon buttie and tea) Bala, Llangollen back to Whitchurch. Man it felt good to be out again. Evo triangle was epic (and empty) Horseshoe pass fabulous too. Roll on Spring

If you tighten the most accessible nut to the spec with a torque wrench then get your spanner on it to loosten it off a half-turn then re-tighten, you will get a feel of how tight it is. Not sure how else to approach it really.

I know what you mean, it's impossible to mount or remove my intake manifold if the carbs are attached to it. Even then, I have to use an extension bar with a mid-bar swivel Joint and deep sockets to reach the stud nuts.

Sorted the handbrake issue as well. Fitted some strong, stainless steel return springs on the caliper end of the cables - a solution posted on here I found with some digging. Adjusted the tension through the transmission tunnel access hole and hey presto - good as new!!

Bit of an update on the gearstick issue of my knuckles scraping the dash. I made a simple adjustment using a small drilled plate, rather than bolting the lever directly - effectively pulling the gearstick about 25mm away from the dash without causing any interference issues when shifting into 2nd or 4th. Took all of about 30mins! Will have to post separately about the throttle issue which I am struggling to sort.......
