  1. Just thought I'd say hi. Quite a while ago (must be about 13 years ago) I owned a Westfield fitted with a Lotus 1558cc Twin Cam and loved it, fortunately life and divorce forced me to sell and now I'm firmly in mid life crisis territory I have decided its time to re-ignite the flame. Have a budget of 12k for what I hope can be a decent car, going to look for condition and history rather than specific engine or colour specs and I'm off to Toybox tomorrow to see what is available. Whatever I buy will be seriously pampered and will share garage space with my M135i and Mercedes CL, the three of them will give me all the driving options I think a person can need / want Living in Shropshire gives me access to some fantastic and undiscovered roads and of course, its a short drive over the border to Welsh Wales and all it has to offer Looking forward to buying the right car and meeting some of you along the way

  2. As another of those having regular bloods taken, a lot of people I see at the hospital on bloods day have real trouble with needles and having their blood taken. The sight of battle scarred arms, no matter how much sympathy they would normally have for the bearer, would just be too much for some them. (I've seen more than a few bolt for the door over the years.)

  3. Fast road car but up to 3-4 track days per year. I like good standards of finish (cosmetically) so a car built and used for extensive track work is unlikely to be the car for me

  4. Never mind all, you can stay safe and warm and enjoy another day . ( real truth is I would have been damn envious if you did get out, as snowy down in the south too and I wont be either!) and a white one for Ian too.

  5. EVENT POSTPONED Yes, @IanK wimping is definitely the order of the day. Trevor is making noises about going next Sunday instead, so all is not lost, just delayed. On the BBC news this morning there was the 'weather watchers' photograph and it was of Holmfirth (the village where the Oil Can Cafe is) and that had a similar level of snow of that shown in your photo at home. Luckily it is just raining in Chesterfield. Just look at the sunshine we had last Saturday up at the reservoirs, we need a bit more of that winter weather. Hope to see you all next weekend.
