  2. Hi all, just bought a 89 narrow bodied low line without a engine and box. The car was professionally built but has hardly covered any miles. First job is to pick up a crossflow engine and gearbox then find a twin weber inlet manifold then it should be on the road just waiting for the cosmetics then. Many years ago I used to build kit cars for a living and my ex busines partner used to work for Westfield years ago so his ears are going to get bent a lot.

  4. Had a great day today took the dash out to find the wiring is a mess (or i'm fussy) so ordered 2 looms from catering. Then as I was sat in the drivers seat and the dash wasn't in I thought I would lift the column up a bit. Not a chance so it's time to start grinding off the weld to make it right or just get another column. Oh the joys of buying a pro built cat thanks Mr Nightingale no wonder you sold the company off.

  6. Hi Gareth, Sorry to hear of the loss of a family member, my condolences. As for the value of a late 90's westfield that hasn't been used for 9 years, I would guess about £3000-4000, subject to condition. Given the timing of the inquiry I guess the solicitor is trying to sort out probate so these figures may suffice. If we can be of further assistance don't hesitate to get in touch, plenty of help available here.

  12. The issue raised is to do with "packet sniffing" - so someone intercepting the network traffic when they are on the same network as you (like McDonalds/Airport/Office/Hotel wifi). Your details are secure unless someone hacks your account - and while it is technically possible for someone to intercept your email and password using a packet sniffer like WireShark, it is pretty unlikely. The issue was raised on PH a year ago and there's no news of mass attacks on there as far as I can see? User passwords are stored in an encrypted format, so even I can't see them. Personally - I don't use the same password for my bank etc as I do on forums or other public access sites and I change them every now and then despite the pain of remembering them all. However, I'll talk to the Committee about implementing SSL on the server as our Member's data integrity is obviously very important.

  14. Xflow on Webers, does it get any better? Reliable and bomb proof, probably more than any other. There are lots of engine options, mine has an XE, also on Webers, thought about injection but I just love that noise. The Xflow is the same, so stay with the force. Monaro, Cayman, Z4, Porker - b*****k*. Who on earth would buy a Boxster?
