  2. Also don't get the responses to the ops post - he's asking for advice on a small SUV, not whether or not he should have 4x4 and if so which small hatch/saloon/estate is best. I like SUV's, I don't drive one but have had a few and they're great. RussH's CX5 is a lovely example.

  3. Sensible, I have been called many things but I can never, ever remember being called sensible, I must ring my parents immediately and announce it. That means you have one week to get the car sorted, Ian, go and give OMEX a poke.

  5. That looks fun. It's fine, I hear 888s are great in the snow.

  7. I dont get the 'if you need 4wd you need to get a proper one' mentality. I dont need a Westfield or an MX5 but I've got them and they are great. I dont need a 4X4 suv but Ive got one and its great. I dont need a 4wd Audi but I've had them and they are great. Who cares how many wheels are driven on next doors car. As far as I'm concerned my 4wd Audi is better in the winter or wet than the FWD version. My 4X4 suv is better towing the big trailer than a non 4X4. Just cos I dont off road doesnt mean I cant have the benefits of 4wd. Much like I like the benefit of 4 wheel brakes.

  9. I took some photos of this on my mobile phone yesterday. It was quite close to the fence but the bodywork was on so could not get real detailed stuff.

  10. POSTPONED until the following weekend due to the weather forecast. Sorry folks, it's ice and snow on Saturday, followed by rain on Sunday, making there little point in wizzing about in kit cars. Be assured if the weather is anything like, we will be back out the following weekend. Stay posted, eat cake and carry on Julie P.S Russ, my apologies to you that you will have to wait a further week to find out where the breakfast is, but do enjoy the lovely shopping trip.

  11. It all goes to show that simple mistakes are made simply. The more complicated things need more thought and time so you tend to spot the errors. I'm just glad it was me being simple.

  13. Westfield's exhausts have been mainly from Motad for years and years. I had one of their (Motad made) silencers on my original car, back in 2004.

  14. On closer inspection of the photograph you can see that Glen and I have our faces in the barbq, and stood nearby is @AndrewBClarke and @MartynV with Claire. The Westfeld's proper bombed that shot then.

  15. Heck, I trotted down to WH Smith today to buy the Complete Kit Car magazine and on the same page as Trevors article there was my car staring back at me.
