Ok - here is the technical 'building' solution from a building surveyor (me!). Insulate under the roof and/or the walls. On the inside face of the insulation there needs to be a moisture proof membrane - this is sometimes built in to insulation boards (or they are inherently waterproof). The 'dew point' is where the temperature is at the point where airborne moisture with condensate. By insulating alone, this may be within the insulation layer so to stop this moisture condensating, you need to stop it getting there hence the membrane. On the brick outer walls, insulated plasterboard (foil lined to act as a membrane) can be stuck on the walls with plasterboard adhesive. Celotex is moisture resistant so ok for underside of roof. Gaps need to be avoided and joints between Celotex boards should be taped over with moisture proof tape supplied by Celotex (not electrical insulation tape or gaffer tape!). Ventilate the space (with cross ventilation if possible). Heat would not be so necessary except for the comfort of the car, and a dehumidifier redundant unless the car is wet! Good luck. Thank you Robin for leading us into Brid on the scenic route, it has been a lovely day out and great to catch up with everyone. Cold? oh yes, but worth it. Great to see Geoffrey back on action And good to see that it wasn't too cold for a lay down underneath the car See you all again soon, Glen and Julie2 points

When I looked out of the window at 7 o'clock this morning I thought "That looks a bit cold, should I stop in bed?" But I couldn't let you all down. So after scraping the ice off my wife's KA, I got the Westfield out and went for some fuel. Picked my Brother-in-law up and headed for the Fox and Grapes. Julie, Glen. Martin and Sue were waiting as Marcus and brother Axel pulled in in front of us, Roger, Judy and Geoffery joined us and made 6 cars, not a bad turn out for a cold, frosty morning. The pub had kindly opened up so in we went for a coffee before setting off. Instead of hitting the A64 straight away, we headed through Barwick and into Garforth for a fuel stop at Tesco, then on passed the Battle of Towton and joining York road at Tadcaster where traffic started to get heavy, luckily for us most cars turned off for the Designer Outlet sales leaving us to hit the A166 through Stamford Bridge. We ended up following probably the most law abiding Volvo in the world, but I decided not to try to pass as it would be easier to keep the 6 cars together on the winding roads. The Volvo nearly stopped at the bottom of Garrowby Hill, but the surprised us all by passing an even slower moving van, that didn't slow us down, as we needed an unscheduled toilet stop before we hit Bridlington. Driving towards the seafront and it was busier than I was expecting and I was thinking we wouldn't get parked together, but then I saw an open space of about 8 places, so I grabbed them and we all got parked together. Some then disappeared to the nearest loo, and some to the fish shop. After some food Geoffery led us through his old stomping ground and to the petrol station. We all filled up and headed our separate ways home, me and Marcus retracing our route. Heading home we were driving straight into the sun, and the wipers were just smearing the road muck all over the 'sceen, so visibility wasn't too good but we made it home. My camera keeps eating batteries, so I only managed to get a couple of photos, so here they are, And thanks to all who came today.2 points

For all the dullards out there like me, the new forum software has allowed us to add thumbnails for all the files in the Downloads section of the forum. This means there are small photos of the front covers from all the past issues of Westfield World and all the club calendars in this section, making it easier to choose which one you want to open. We can also change the author of the submission, which means we've been able to rightly attribute Terry Everall as author of the Tel's Tales compilations, and Peter Osborne as editor for all the mags and calendars he's done. It's taken me several hours to do so, but this is now done. It's all because I'm borderline OCD and it bugged the hell out of me until it was sorted. Now please wake up, this announcement is over and you can return to the land of the living - thank you.2 points

Meet at McDonalds, Barlborough, M1 Junction 30 and be ready to leave at 9.15 am. From there it is 45 minutes to the Fox and Grapes, York Road, Leeds to meet Robin's gang, warm up in the pub and go for fish and chips in Bridlington. As it is minus several degrees tonight I need to go and pshyc up right now. I will be bringing my new friend, complete with a refill flask of hot water for the journey home though.1 point
