  7. I really enjoyed last year's track day, so need would like more, even though i hold people up - sorry! I would also like to offer some assistance on the Saturday, I've never marshaled, well apart from a cycle race or 2, so would be prepared to do that with a bit of instruction, or any other menial task that would help the Speed Series go a bit smoother. 13. Had a good ride round with Clark. His Duratec engined Westy is now pushing out 220 bhp and 7300rpm. It has a great new exhaust and silencer which makes it as quiet as quite quiet mouse. Thanks again Clark and nice to meet up again with some of your Westfield chums too!

  14. Aircraft style rocker switch with cover, plus a "start" button....? Or would the insurers take a dim view?

  15. @pistonbroke Did you get a drop list appear as soon as you started typing after the @ symbol? You need to select a name from the list, or the system doesn't work.

  16. But the point is, it's not. It looks incredibly similar, and "everyone" looks at the keys, barrel, mechanism etc and assumes the vast numbers of posts saying you can't get them anyware must be wrong, and then spends weeks trying to find something that will fit... The problem is they're third or more generation pattern parts, so they just look similar, but that's it. (Trust me, I didn't believe it either and tried for months, I even had the local locksmiths trying all their different suppliers - I showed them the threads on here and told them I'd order loads if they could find them. Note, this is the case for recently supplied ignition/steering locks, as supplied over the last few years or so, early ones may well not be a problem. That said, if you're prepared to buy the complete ignition/steering lock assembly with fresh keys, they are readily available through Mini (original) spares places. Not crazy money either. I couldn't guarantee you wouldn't have the same key issue with them though!

  17. @Rory's Dad OK Martin, strap yourself in... 1) Click on the "Unread Content" buttons on the top or bottom right side of the forum. 2) You'll get this screen: 3) Select your preferences as follows (from left to right): Show me: As below - make your choice. Content Types: Lets you select only what new content you want to see - make sure you hit "Apply Changes" when you're done if you've changed this: Read Status: As below Ownership: Again, as below, make your choice, material everyone has made, only that you started, only where you have posted, or only where specific members have posted. Following: Again, pretty obvious stuff, either follow Everything or just selected stuff you're following Time Period: Choose what time period for the new content in which you're interested Sorting: Newest or oldest first When you're happy with the way you want to view new content as a default, hit the "Save As New Stream" button. You can then give it a name like "My Unread Content" if you wish. Finally, you have a few buttons on the left - the first one lets you rename the search stream title (here as "Unread Content"); the second one deletes search stream you've saved; and the third one lets you save the search stream as your default (highly recommended): You won't need to do this again unless you don't save your stream as your default, or change your new content preferences. That's it! It's a very powerful tool that adapts to your preferences, a huge improvement on the last forums IMO.

  20. Hi, Yes I'll bring some photos. I think Myra will take pity and come with me (she's a Chesterfield girl). Hopefully I'll pick up my dash and loom from Leicester on the way up, so should have actual parts with me!
