Hello all I've been asked to give you an update after my announcement at the Speed Series Awards regarding the health of Kiera, 17-month-old daughter of Clare Wilkinson (nee Ironside) from our friends at A-Plan Insurance. I've spoken with Henry Francis who tells me Kiera's health has improved sufficiently and she is now out of hospital and back home. Her treatment is still ongoing and obviously Clare is spending a great deal of time and energy looking after her, but things are looking up for little Kiera. I've passed on the best wishes for a full and speedy recovery from everyone in the club, and either Clare or I will keep you updated via the forums. Thanks for your interest, wishes and kindness.4 points

Don't bother taking the engine out. Just install a big battery (or possibly several) and go round using the starter motor. Treat the engine a ballast to keep the power to weight ratio down and corner weights correct.2 points

Hi Andy The set up I got made it feel like a new car I have total confidence in it now. It was done by William at East County Classics in Thetford. here's a setup that will suit your car / use. All measurements with - important - your weight in the driver's seat: Rear camber -0.5 to -0.7 deg, 40 mins toe in. Front camber 0.5 deg more than the rear, 10 mins toe in. Front ride height at least 120mm (maximum around 150mm), rear 15mm higher than the front. That will give you a really good baseline setup (y) Ref the weight his wife sat in the driver's seat holding a bucket of sand to replicate my weight......... It cost me £90 01842 763841. Hope this helps. Regards Richard2 points

Ah, the panorama shot, well I reckon you lot have eaten too much cake, are now too fat and could not run fast enough for my camera to catch you at both sides Either that or I could win the consolation cabbage prize for being the worst photographer in the WSCC. The picture with you all jumping came out brilliant though, Trevor, you must be at least a foot off the floor, shame you all can't run as well as you can jump1 point

That's right. You can't upload videos otherwise our server would run out of space in a jiffy! it's easy to link to YouTube etc and as we can see from above adding pics is now a doddle!1 point

Love the colour scheme, but how you managed to get NMS to get colour keyed tool boxes and mugs is even more impressive!1 point

when my graphics cards are at full chat you carnt hear the sound from the speakers over it thats why i always wear a headset. it would still be interesting to see how much of the graphics a server pc could handle. i assume the vram is the same as vram used in graphics cards and in my current setup i have 3 nvidia titan graphics cards which each have 6gb of gddr5 running in SLI. they run my ultrasharp monitor nicley but soome of the new games are becoming more memory hungry and wont be long before im well behind the times and need to upgrade. even though my graphics cards are well out dated they still perform well and were worth the 800 pounds each investment at the time. but if your serious about building a gaming pc to run the latest games at full spec your gonna need a serious budget. and its not just your graphics cards that cost the money once you start adding ssd drives and massive power supplies to run everything. fast memory and watercooled coolers all cost money and it soon mounts up thats why for the money i dont think you can go wrong with an xbox or a ps41 point

We did talk about alternative methods:- releasing them 2 weeks after - that had 1 vote also by using a lucky octopus - that had another vote so because of a dead lock it was decided we would release them now and then we could all go to the zoo. cheers Panda1 point

John The Target Times are already compiled and with John Williams for posting on here. One of the main objectives of the SSOT was to provide early information in terms of classes, scoring system and also the calendar.1 point

Am I really married to this man, oh dear. The advantage of being the photographer on a day like this is that you yourself is not actually on any of the pictures. I notice Debbie had the same tactics when she suggested taking the rather embarrassing Benny Hill style video, she is also clever. Trevors fun present of sticky beetles has helped us come down from a Santa high today, we have been throwing them at the windows and they fall down, oh we are easily entertained.1 point

Yes it was a shame you guy's were scared of dressing up as Santa unable to join us so here are some piccies for you. Appearing as Santa was Martyn and Sue, Trevor and Ben(Yakattak), Richard(Bioman) and Vic (Baby Bio), AndyR, Big Andy and Debbie. Paul Johnson and his wife Alison came to see us, Paul is WSCC member number 7 and came in his Porsche that was a bit nice, he must learn to come and park up with us though, how else can we get it on the photo's. Sleigh's at Ashbourne Santa's at Asbourne We made our way through Matlock Bath and Bakewell hooting and waving at everyone. A MX5 came towards me with the top down and I thought 'oh he must be unhinged as well, I will give him a wave', little did I know it was about 20 waves. The MX5 club were out in a massive convoy, all waving back. Pitstop at Hassop, the Focus ST club were parked up here and gave us some very strange looks, even they waved as we went. Yes, 'as we went' next time folks FOLLOW ME not a certain other person, it saves you all having to do a three point turn, and it saves me waiting while looking in my mirror wondering where you have ALL gone Through Grindleford, up to Surprise View, into Hathersage and we did a circuit of Castleton before arriving at the Travellers Rest for lunch. They had set a table for us and it was a fight for who could get furthest away from the fire. With the pile of clothes on the floor it looked like a jumble sale. Santa's Off we go again After a hearty lunch we set off in search of cake and for that we needed a cafe. At this time of day there is only one place that is pleased to see you and that is Newton House. We took a route that went past Monsal Head and Ashford in the Water. Richard and Vic headed off north from here. Martyn and Sue headed off south from here, we took a great route back home to drop Ben off, Trevor headed back south and I went east with the 2 Andy's. I was worried that we might be a bit early for Santa but it was amazing how many people were wearing Santa clothing in one form or another, including a full Santa in Castleton. The villages were busier too, I think nearer the big day people don't venture into the countryside as much, so the whole thing was a raging success and thanks must go to mad Trevor for making us do it again. What a crazy day!!!1 point
