First of all, many thanks to Ade and Chris for their hard work in getting the new forums launched so smoothly and so quickly - very well done indeed. As bugs and issues will be inevitable, as will the need to update a few pinned threads with info based on the old forums, if you do find something then please post it in this thread. Please bear in mind that it may take time to answer or sort the item as the new forums are still bedding in and Ade and Chris have real-world jobs to do - and also bear in mind that the answer to your wishes is sometimes "sorry, no". Thanks!1 point

Hi guys, after 18 months of looking I have taken the plunge and bought a lovely 2009 Duratec, and have done the right thing and joined the club fully. Would love to hear from anybody Norfolk/Suffolk based, but in the mean time thanks to everyone for the wealth of info on here - it's incredible!1 point

Well, I thought that I'd be the first to mention the 'C' word .. ho ho yes, it's the Clan Christmas Carvery! Get your festive faces on (humbugs need not apply) and join us at our new venue in Perth! I know Bob will be disappointed that I haven't booked his favourite place in Perth .. this way, he'll not have to walk 2 miles to get to it! So, we're booked in for 12:00 to be sat down for 12:30 on Sunday 4th December at The Glover Arms, Crieff Road, Huntingtower Park, Perth, PH1 3JJ - this place is slightly out of the town so we'll not have to re-live the manic traffic system of Perth town centre! This is just like last year ie not a formal sit down set Christmas lunch but just a chance for us all to get together for a blether before the rush of Christmas. It's not a 'lads only' gathering and all are welcome! http://www.vintageinn.co.uk/restaurants/scotland-northern-ireland/thegloverarmsperth/sunday-menu As always, I'll be grateful for names as early as possible so that the venue can strengthen the seats and order in an extra side of cow! Hi Andy I'm in Thetford, I also have a Duratec (SEIW) again pretty new as well. Have made good contacts with Rory's Dad (mentioned above) who gets local kit car owners together for a drive and a chat. Also East Anglia kit car club meet up near Attleborough again for meet, greet and days out. regards Richard1 point

Rectangular badges were first released about 1988 - black plastic with silver lettering, often stuck to the rear of the body tub - the same style / pattern was also released as a vinyl stick on badge in various colours a short while later this was often stuck onto the nosecone offset to one side the round sunburst logo badge has been available from day one of Westfield manufacture, firstly in black and then other colours introduced later both in metal and plastic...................... this has been a public information post from an old fart1 point

Sounds like a great car but we really need to see pictures to confirm how good it is and of course to start spending your money on suggested upgrades1 point

I can confirm I will be there assuming its not pouring with rain. Also the car is looking "interesting" as my wife called it last night. I won't give away everything on the forum but she reckons I'm going to look a right idiot driving it ... so that means I must be doing something right :-)1 point

I personally would 'fire' Hamilton for what he has done this season.1 point

Rosberg is the champion because he scored more points and deserves it because he scored more points. Hamilton may well be considered the best driver but circumstances caused him to score fewer points. For me, Lewis falls into the same camp as Schumacher, both brilliant drivers but not likeable; their manner and attitudes in racing colour their appeal for me. As an aside, if the Honda engine had been better then Jenson or Alonso might have been champion but what ifs don't count in F1.1 point
