  1. Better than any F1 race and far better driver skills but would like to see Hamilton or Rosberg try (but their life insurance companies probably wouldn't allow it)

  2. So are we ready for tomorrow folks? After 2pm it's forum cold turkey for a bit. Maybe 48hrs downtime while we switch to the new software. It's a total rewrite by the forum vendors and will be a right royal pita to move everything over so bear with us while we (well, mostly Adrian) move it all over. It's going to be good though!

  5. As I'll no longer be in the committee I can put something offensive for my avatar and cause problems that said a picture of me ticks that box.

  6. About two hours to go until withdrawal kicks in. When the lights go back on, you'll look at the new forums and think it's not much different, what's all the fuss about? Then you'll start to see the upgrades are small but significant, especially photo handling, iOS compatibility, improved search engine, and ability to customise the appearance and then appreciate the hard work Ade and Chris are doing in the next few days. There will be small issues and if there are bugs they'll ask you to report them online, but this is a big overdue step and it's very much for the better - thanks gents. See you after the blackout!

  7. Oh crumbs, hope you go on OK Dave, although it makes hilarious reading. I have heard that the cake at Tittersworth is a good remedy for pain. Hoping Garyt makes it out too today, he has 4 degress in Scotland to our 7 degrees, if you can believe the forecast. Hoping Lewis Hamilton cracks it off today and that we all survive 2 days on facebook instead of on here. Facebook, destroyer of club forums, boo hoo.

  8. For me I was sceptical but after fitting a set several years back they made a big difference. In snow I can simply drive out of our estate. Before I would struggle or have to take a serious run the hill. They are better on wet greasy roads and I find them really predictable. Just when the temp rises they ware really quick. So I hold off until it gets cold and revert back early spring.. I'm still holding off ..

  9. I agree with Dave on the Sigma engined car - much more nimble due to a) lighter weight and b) engine further back than my C20XE. I like the Vauxhall's much greater power and torque though!

  10. Sorry to hear of your discomfort Dave. I hope you get a good nights sleep and a miraculous cure overnight and we see you fit and well in the morning

  11. I do so few miles on the Daily Mondeo that I left them on all year. They did wear a bit faster than expected. As to if they make a difference? I would say so. Two years back when we had some snow round here, I followed an Audi A6 Quattro up the hill out the back of Willersley. He didn't make it up the hill, I did. So I would say they are worth it. And others have commented, definitely much better on streaming wet roads
