  1. The F word was bleeped but the S word was not. It wasn't excessive though and seemed natural. I can assure you that your kids hear much worse at school lol.

  2. Meet at The Wheatsheaf, Baslow, 10.30 am for a run through the Peak District to finish up at Tittersworth Reservoir, Leek for lunch. I will post which day it will be nearer the time when we have an idea on the weather forecast. Post up your preferred date just in case we are lucky and get both days with good weather. Who is coming? SUNDAY 27TH NOVEMBER

  4. Julie, I've just watched the Grand Tour and they've copied us by opening with a red, white and blue car! Can your cake budget run to a remake of the Grand Tour Opening in the Peak District? I know where we can find a red, white and blue Westie 8-)

  5. For anyone who has this it actually wasn't too bad, worst bits were having the anesthetic injected down the third eye and trying to resist the urge to p*** in the consultants face.

  7. I have got a Burstner on a Merc 2.7 chassis with auto box. Tows very well, is really well made and very reliable. 7 metres long so as mentioned previously a problem to park up, but as I use it mainly for Sprint events less of a hassle. Never use the shower !! always use on site facilities. Very good German make and still selling for not far off what I bought it for 9 years ago.

  9. Parking is a big issue with a large motor home. We hired a big 6 birth a few years ago and did the alps, Italian lakes and French Riviera, had a wonderful holiday but couldn't park the motor home anywhere other than on site or a large supermarket car park. That and storage at home are the reason for sticking to a 6mtr van now.

  10. Fair comment,, we managed with a VW camper until the kids were 8 and 10. After that it became too cramped and everyone bailied out every time you wanted to reconfigure the interior. As you say drive away awning is a great idea. In the end it came down to convenience of a large motor home, vs parking a large motor home in towns. The alternative would be a caravan...Not my preference and Julie (one careful lady owner) would have appeared in the small hours and let my tyres down :-)

  11. Patience, Prunella, let's get the new forums running first and not promise anything until we know it works.
