  2. Feel like I am clogging the system up with "which is best" questions! While the Westy is still off the road, I'm going to get my column out and off to Luke this week to weld up a Rapfix QR boss. That means I also need a new steering wheel. Recommendations for wheels that fit this system would be appreciated, circa 280mm diameter. What might need to be considered is that I want to fit buttons for indicators and main beam/flash, using Mike's wonderful freewheel technology.

  8. Well put, was a fantastic evening racing - shame we were all little off the pace but I think all the other drivers has been there several times this year before - and a slow kart didn't help the warriers for the first hour . Well done everybody.

  9. Many thanks to everyone for a great afternoon and evening at Buckmore Park Kart Track. With a dry start in the daylight tuning into a rain soaked track in the pitch dark under floodlights, it certainly tested all our driving skills. Special thanks to my Essex Westies team mates Dean, Dave and Kelly for a most famous victory by the slimmest of margins (only two minutes separated the Westfield Teams after three hours of karting). It wasn't overall victory I admit, but simply victory over our most worthy rivals the Westfield Warriors! Well done to Pete, Mike and Bernie for pushing us to the very end. We really must do that again... in a few years

  11. I suppose the more dangerous fire would be from the fuel system leaking and setting alight in the engine bay not to mention the fuel tank area. Electrical fires I suppose would be less harsh/frequent. Conclusion: 1. Fuel fires, call Rob and he'll come down and put it out for you. 1kg fire extinguisher as Rob say 7 to 10 seconds? thats not long enough in my book so put it back as it will contaminate the potatoes and a few sausages that you have just put on. 2. Electrical, have a go with the extinguisher you might be lucky. see point 1 above if you fail.
