  2. Ditto what Cleggy said about Anglesey Snowdonia roads are better. Try and stick to the B roads.

  3. I have a spare moment and thought you folks might be interested in looking at these pictures that I took the other day while on one of my yomps around the Peak District. The aircraft that crashed was a USAF Boeing Superfortress, killing all 13 people on board, in November 1948. I think these were the wheels I think this was part of the wing I don't know what part this was but that very shiny metal has been there since 1948 and nobody has been along with the Autosol to polish it. Can I have a car made out of this please? Possibly an axle or part of the landing gear? Here is a good one. Top right is where the spark plug was sited? and middle bottom, there is still a spark plug in there? Impellor? The wreck is on Bleaklow, just off the A57 Snake Pass road, at approx 2000ft. I hope you have enjoyed this.

  4. I've just been going through some old photos and scanning them for another project and i came across these shots of the Superfortress. I probably took them about 1980.

  5. Few of the ones I can remember off hand are: B4518 Llanidloes past clywedog reservoir, then turn left onto Forge Road for Machynlleth. A487 which goes through the heart of the Mach loop low fly zone,Machynlleth to the Cross Foxes. B4391 Llangynog to Bala, open moorland and a really good seven type road. A4212 out of Bala, right onto B4391 to Ffestiniog, again awesome road. B5105 Ruthin to Cerrigydugion, turn right onto B4501 this is part of the EVO triangle past Llyn Brenig reservoir, left onto A453. These are not in any sort of order for a run!but IMO are really good roads and not to be missed

  6. apart from going over the Menai bridge I didn't find Anglesey that inspiring although there are no doubt some great roads - we went on the coast route to the race track so there is a lot more to see than we experienced I assume

  7. well must do the black mountain pass in the Brecons and dont forget to stop at the hairpin for photos of m8s going sideways - I would never do that sort of thing and up north most of the "B" roads are fantastic

  9. One good reason to use a credit card for pay up front orders. Even if you get stung for the extra few percent they usually add on. If you have a problem then the credit card company sort out the refund. Suppliers never argue with them.

  10. That was probably the polite response as it was his wife, if your mate had asked they'd have strung him up!
