  2. Like it or not, the decision has been made and we must all live with it. We can moan about it or celebrate it, but it is far better to just get on with it. I hope the initial blip will settle, because really for now it is business as usual, other than we need a new prime minister The key is to stay calm, if everyone runs through the streets screaming hellfire, we will talk ourselves back into a recession

  3. On the ferry home - variations between odometers give total mileage as somewhere between 2925 and 3075 so by the time we get home the 3000 will have been achieved. Weather from 4 seasons, spectacular scenery, awesome roads. A few trials and repairs on the way but 4 cars heading home largely intact - only one brush with the law, settled amicably with the transfer of an acceptable number of Euros, and lots of questions about the cars and a slight altercation with a curb and chain means I'll be ordering a new rear n/s FW wheel arch........ I'll post more photos when I get home to decent internet

  6. Thanks for the footage Ian. Ashbourne at 43 minutes looked good with all the bunting out. The best views came in at 51 minutes as we come over the top of the valley and at 54.4 minutes when we went really slow to look at the Swiss cottages in Ilam. Very well done on squishing the batteries for the caravan bit, we don't want any evidence of going there. I have thought about the day a lot this week and it was a really good mix, with the track and tyre kicking in the morning and a little run out in lovely scenery for the afternoon. Plus, like Dave said, Bakewell Tart Ice Cream, now that is one for the bucket list. So, with all this in mind I have already got the route planned for the next one on July 16th. It is similar in length and distance but with an added 'Westfield' moment so you need to bring the go pro. There will be no 'caravan' moments so it is OK to fully charge the batteries! P.S there will be Bakewell Tart Ice Cream as we will finish at Parsley Hay

  12. It was late afternoon when I spoke to Roger. This event can still get support even when others are really struggling for numbers.......it is a fantastic circuit though... :-)

  13. I'm not even convinced we'll leave. Quite apart from those with vested interests trying to ignore the result. I can't help wondering if this will be used as the equivalent, of "Hello, Sky/Vodaphone/O2/etc, I'd like to cancel my subscription and leave...", "Oh, I can have a better deal if I just sign up again..."

  20. Also - point out that it's a Zetec SE Sigma engine - rather than an early 1600 Zetec. The two engines are very different and the Sigma is way more desirable as it is more powerful and very light engine. Your's also has ShawSpeed on the cam cover - so has it been tuned? If so, more info would be good. What type of throttle bodies, what ECU and who mapped it - do you have a dyno print out? Every bit of detail helps - look at this forum ad for a good idea on 'how to do it right'

  21. Just my personal opinion but more technical information would help - engine and gearbox specs, brakes, any upgrades etc. A 1600 zetec is relatively rare & I'm sure prospective buyers would be keen to know more info. Also if you've had any professional set up done on the car (engine, suspension, geometry etc) then post up the detail. Best of luck with the sale, looks to be a very nice car!
