got up at 5, drove 130 miles to Llandovery and then did the A4069 (Black Mountain Pass) to Gwaun-Cae-Gurwen then back. Stopped for a couple of butties at the car park on the top, then 130 miles back home. Been wanting to drive the 4069 for some years now as it's regularly cited as being in top few driving roads in Britain, plus its the road used sometimes by the Top Gear Team (the proper lot, not the new ginger version). So a round trip of just over 300 miles, weather was divine so was the road. Bonus was only saw 3 other vehicles at that time on the mountain Shot a great video both ways which unfortunately I can't share as some cretin has slapped 40mph speed limits over the whole section between the cattle grids and my Dash2 speedo is very visible.... On days like this.........2 points

I took the westfield to drop the lad off at his school trip... and ground out on each and every speed bump. What an entrance2 points

Yep, with brand new engines and or engine parts it can be quite a surprise the first time they're started up, if you're not expecting it, all sorts of protective coatings, assembly oils, etc get burnt off.2 points

Tuning potential to 282bhp. 8 injectors (2 per cyclinder), carbon air horns, ITG air filter, Emerald ECU, Dry sumped. Elite 5spd sequential gearbox (upgraded by Elite to 15mm gear set rather than 10mm. So nearly an IL300 but the weight and casing of an IL200. Now very reliable and not a chocolate gearbox). Geartronics flat shift and clutchless downshift. Flappy paddles LSD Full Caged rollcage Tillet carbon drivers seat 6 Point Harness Avon ZZRs on image alloys Repackable exhaust CAT wide track front suspension PlaysKool ARBs front and rear Nitron suspension in all corners, setup by Northampton Motorsports Aeroscreen Road going with V5 and MSA logbook. Never crashed or bent but body work has some minor gelcoat cracks and could do with tidying. I could sell with a Ali cased quaife 4spd dog box without elite and geartronics/Flappy paddles if preferred - Then would be WSCC Speed Series Dlass D PM me if interested and want larger or more photos.1 point

I think Mark at Carbon NV must have telepathic skills as he seemed to have known exactly which direction to lay the weave so it matches my steering wheel Another well finished product. Thanks Mark.1 point

Best parking I did was turn up at the terminal and let someone else take it. Easy and quick at 5 am. Only cost 10 more and if they want to rag a KA good luck to them1 point

Only watched ten minutes of last weeks show then switched to the Antiques roadshow which was more entertaining/interesting. Thought I would give it another chance but as soon as Chris Evans opened his mouth that was it . MotoGP was great as usual , dump Evans get Valentino.1 point

We decided to leave the Resevoir dogs run for another day when more are able to enjoy it. We still had a good day though. Some good autosolo action at Kames including 800 hp mk2 escort ( detuned to 575 for this event) and the compulsory coffee and bacon roll - well it would be rude not to. After lunch we headed out on the local roads that Dave knows very well although we were both fairly sedate. having road trips planned in the next few weeks, we didn't want any issues. A loop around Mennock pass and surrounding roads still provided an entertaining day. Dave headed back south and I headed east, soon finding myself back at Kames (pee stop) before heading north towards Strathaven and then east again for Galston and home to Paisley. All in all, not a bad day at all with some good roads, a bit of Motorsport and of course the big yellow circle in the blue sky. Bob1 point

I thought it was better than last week. Going to stick with it. I've said for a while now, it's not a car programme, it's an entertainment show that has cars in it.1 point

Agree that it was a very poor "car test" and can't even see why they called it that - but both my other half and I found it an entertaining watch and we both enjoyed it. Really warming to Matt as a presenter and he is the saving grace of that duo as I still think Chris is a bit annoying, but on the whole I thought it was better than last week and I will be tuning in again. It's a entertainment show with cars now, not an entertaining car show.1 point

Consider it done Thanks, I was pleased with the result, although I will be even happier when it is all working and I can go for a drive! I plan to use the black button to operate the lap/acceleration timer on the digidash, but not quite sure how its input works as it has three connections on the digidash loom.1 point

Slowly coming back down to reality after an amazing weekend at the Saint Goueno Masters Hill Climb in Brittany. A huge " Thankyou " to John Lloyd and his team for another fabulously organised event both on and off the hill. Here's a video of my final run from Sunday at 1'43.36s, not my best run of the day which was the previous run of 1'42.46s, I didn't get this on film as the Gopro battery was flat. A fantastic result for Team WSCC and an unbelievable time set by Tim ( you are a nutter ) Tim Nunn 1st in Class GT7/1 1'34.86s ( New Class Record ) Martin Harvey 4th in Class GT7/1 1'42.46s Richard Kerr 1st in Class GT7/2 1'46.50s Graham Millar 1st in Class FC/3 1'44.04s Paul Morcom 1st in Class DE/2 1'47.65s Roll on next year1 point
