  1. FANTASTIC SUPER OOPER DOOPER DAY OUT Sorry for shouting but it really has been a great day, all day. The Peak District Area managed to beat Geoffery's challenge of the smallest convoy to Stoneleigh as we picked up Trevturtle at Junction 25 M1 and arrived as a group of 2 to park on the esteemed Westfield Avenue. A cold but dry day did mean the smart new Westfield T-Shirt could not be displayed to it's full potential, that pleasure will be savoured for Silverstone. We got a WSCC carrier bag and headed to the halls and proceeded to fill it with goodies. Then we went to look at the other cars, I can't say too much in public but talking to other clubs really makes you appreciate how well set up and run this club is. A club full of good spirit, thank you for my 'Spirit of the Club' award, it is beautiful and now sits in my living room reminding me how lucky I am to know all you wonderful people in this wonderful club. Thank you for everything, Glen and Julie.

  2. Had a chat at Stoneleigh with Dave's insurers who assured me they are on the case and very sympathetic, so fingers crossed.

  4. I would like to say a MASSIVE thank you to all those members that helped to fix and also fixed Buttercup today at Stoneleigh. I felt quite embarrassed at having to push Buttercup through all the parked Westfield cars but a number of people helped to push Buttercup and they also tried to offer advice. We tried to bump start Buttercup but she would not start. They eventually left and with the assistance of others I was able to get Buttercup back to the WSCC area. A number of WSCC members then spent around 30 minutes working on the car. A couple of members were also laid on their backs working underneath the car. I was then sent for some fuses and one member who I met near the stall lent me a few pounds to buy the fuses I needed after I left my money in the car. One chap waited with us when he could have made his way home. Buttercup was then repaired. I am unsure of the names of all who helped which is why I have not posted the names of those I know, as I do not want to leave anyone out, but you all know who you are. You people are what this club is all about and I felt so embarrassed and so grateful all at the same time. Thank you so very much for today and it was really appreciated.

  5. Just got back home, left a few dozen behind post AGM to have fun. Rain this afternoon was only very light spots, nothing you'd be bothered by at all, not an umbrella in sight. The lamb roast was terrific, like a gruesome scene out of Jurassic Park, only the skeleton remained after a short time. The members were causing the kegs of beer some serious damage as well. T-shirts went down well! But what a happy, friendly, warm atmosphere there was, which I hope we can repeat tomorrow. Come see us, enjoy the day, get your T-shirt and have fun!

  9. It was my first run out with more than one westy today for the first time ever and to drive in to stow Tesco's and be greeted by so many guys with such immaculate looking cars was fantastic , the drive to stoneleigh from there was excellent and the hosting at the club tent was superb, thanks to all and looking forward to next year .Mark

  11. Nice to meet some of you today. Weather held mostly good. Had a few questions answered by the S2000 crew and the factory. Nice T shirt in the bargain too. Hopefully have my car finished for next years show. Found the tool stands a bit lacking for things I needed and not particulary cheap. Wanted a pneumatic riveter and was offered one that probably built ships and things ! Told the bloke I was building a kit car and would never get it into tight places , as it was massive. Hope the party tonight goes well and Scotts dancing is .........er............. amazing.........

  13. Cheers, it is Road legal but we're just using it for speed events. We wanted to be able to run in road going classes at some point, but sticking with slicks in Mod prod initially.
