  1. Well, it was a lovely evening yesterday for the Lancs area meet so out came t'Westie Had enjoyable cruise along 32 mile country route there, meeting up with dozen fellow enthusiasts @ the Green Man in Inglewhite Returning via the quicker M55/M6/M65 route got diverted due to an incident closing the M55/M6 junction, which forced me onto the M6 NORTH having to go all the way up to Lancaster South junction to turn around At least the M6 was quiet and the fresh clear evening meant it was still a pleasure to be in a Westie driving seat I'm sure that will not be the farthest journey to a meet (without a meet blat), but it must be up there!

  6. If you can do a slow pass (60mph or so) as you go past Sandbach services - no need to leave the M6, I'll join you there, if that's OK?

  8. Just reinsured Westy with Kirsty at A Plan. Also added an MX5 as a new policy. Good to deal with and a competative price. Cheers

  9. I just wanted to feedback that I have now taken delivery of my half hood from SBF7's and the workmanship appears fantastic. I have to give credit where credit is due, SBF7's modified the straps for me slightly so I got what I wanted so thanks indeed. I just need to fit the hood now which could be interesting by the looks of things because I have ZERO idea how it attaches to the screen? I assume I need to add some pop studs to the front of the half hood (I shall be looking tomorrow), it isn't just held on with the screen channel is it? Advice appreciated I'll then need to maybe make some roof bars too but lets get the roof fitted first and see where we go from there. If anyone could provide details or photos of how there half hood is attached to the screen I'd be very grateful. I have a screen channel and I know how the back straps connect but the screen "attachment" is currently a mystery...... to be resolved. Cheers

  12. My Sterling Excell was neither looked at nor commented on at the IVA. But then I do have an ignition key and steering lock. It's much easier to build in at the wiring stage, and in operation is completely invisible, it just does its thing, in the background.
