What great photos and what a great day. Thank you everyone who joined in and it was good to meet you all. I wish I had spent more time talking to the people I did not get to speak to much but that can be for another day. I will post some pictures tomorrow as just arrived in Hereford a few minutes ago and my eyes are really tired so I will do a better post tomorrow. Thanks again to everyone and I thoroughly enjoyed the day with you all.2 points

For Sale For sale is the rollbar that was fitted to my widebodied SEiW when I bought the car. It looks like it's either originally off a Caterham or is made for a Westfield to look like a Caterham's rollbar as the support stays are inboard. Regardless, it's the correct width to fit a widebody Westfield's standard hoop mounts (although the support stays do not mate to any mounts on a standard chassis). It has a single cross brace between the hoops. It's painted black and in average condition for the age. Yours for £40. Will post at cost, or free to collect from Stockport/Manchester.1 point

(I posted this in here years ago, but lost track of the photos until very recently. Bear in mind it was first published in 1974, although not necessarily with these words. This is just meant as a bit of humour, some gentle satire, all tongue-in-cheek fun, and is in no way meant to be detrimental towards the police force or its members in any way, so please don't take offense...oh all right officer, I'll come quietly.) My favourite in the book is Page 121 point

Other things have stopped progress for a while but i found a set of forks on eBay complete with triple trees. They're in very good condition, the trees will need powdercoating and i'l replace the oil and seals but they're fantastic for £52 posted.1 point

You've got original Ford Cortina uprights. I believe Tiger uprights are a popular alternative to the factory Cortina uprights. http://www.tigerracing.com/zencart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=0&products_id=221 If I remember right, they bolt on to the old dust shield holes on the Cortina uprights.1 point

A very enjoyable car set-up session that progressively became more competitive! The damp track was treacherous in the morning but as soon as it dried the fun began. Marto was really flying. The event was very well organised and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Interestingly a number of people were saying that the number and complexity of the MSA rules and regulations had led them to choose the Javelin events so maybe this is seen as the new entry to sprinting? It actually reminded me of the non-MSA sprints run by the Lotus Drivers Club at Wellesbourne that I started off with. Finally of possible interest, Javelin announced that Croft will replace their Oulton Round that has been cancelled due to noise issues. Keith1 point

Great to meet you both yesterday, I'm glad you enjoyed yourselves! Looks like there were some great battles to be had towards the top of the class I was lower down in the B class but was still very happy with 15th overall placing and a best time of 1:13.87. I had a very good fight with my friend in his newly-acquired MK Indybusa - although as soon as he gets to grips with it properly he'll be running rings around me! Here's my best run: https://youtu.be/smS-yXfW7kc Hope to see you all at another event1 point

Well it's been a long road and not with out its problems started over 2 year's now and started with a gearbox fault and then a clutch problem but hopefully that's long in the past, I then continued to do a full interior refit and I shared some pics along the way but it's all complete apart from I few gremlins with the dash2 and fitting My RAC roll bar(big thanks to Dommo for collecting it and bringing it down to Cornwall for me Thanks again mate) and new AA composites boot box but that can wait until I'm back on the road so hear are still few pics a(all you weight watches look away now lol) New custum carpets the standard westfield seats were reformed and reshaped so although they look like standard westfield seat when side by side you can see the difference and not forgetting they are now heated. The standard contoured dash has been slightly modified and recovered and the my home made switch panel Steering wheel controls is a PLC controlled with tell tail LED'S in the switchs So I would just like to say a big thanks to everyone that's helped me with info and advice and all being well see you all at Silverstone Cheers Martin1 point

Got off to a dodgy start when a water mains burst just down the road left me with no water for a brew or shower only hours before the ceremony. Fortunately the burst was sorted about 3hrs beforehand, what a relief, couldn't believe it. But seeing as we both work for the water board we did wonder if it may have been a sick joke, being April the 1st and all. Anyway all went well thereafter and I emerged a wife richer1 point

B&Q car park, 12 Westfields and 3 AO's and it was raining. I had to stop twice on the way home, first because my flag pole tried to escape from the bag and try to attack a BMW, and secondly to tighten my mirror that had come loose from kids climbing into the cars when we weren't with them. Why do parents think it's OK to let them climb into our cars? Would they let them open the door of a Ferrari or Lamborghini and jump inside? Just because Westfields are open, it's not an open invitation to help yourselves. Thanks to Judy for seeing some off. Rant over.1 point

David are you suggesting Nick as Honorary life competition secretary Nick you have done a fantastic job, although I have not been part of it for 10 years, the changes you have introduced have brought the WSCC SS to being one of the most respected national championships in the UK. As a current member of SSOT I have gained an insight into your hard work, enthusiasm and commitment behind the scenes that most don't see but all appreciate. I'm more than happy to buy you a beer or two when we next meet. Paul1 point
