  2. Had it since 1998 longer than my wife and spent considerably more on it too. It's a family member now. I am 49 and when I am too old to drive it, I will just look at it.

  3. Unused SIERRA fitting and suitable for up to 10 8mm discs although the spacers can be changed, available from Hi-Spec for wider discs, I have pins. Not suitable for IVA due to handbrake actuating on pistons. ETA I have a pair of lightly used solid drilled discs that I can send, if required I would like a contribution to the Parcel Force postage rates. Looking for £175 inc postage. http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// Cheers Ian

  7. I just responded to your comment of spending an extra 2k on a car. So the comment of buying it and spending 2k on that one, making it more your car. If this is your first Westfield, then it is a basic and totally useable car for sale. Decent cars don't hang around for long as well. You could , of course just buy and run it and then maybe in the winter start the tinkering.

  9. Looks tidy enough for the money. Seems pretty legit for what it is.

  10. I'm 65, have owned 2 Westfields, first one was an old SEI 1700 xflow (should have kept it) , then had a GTM K3 for a while. Then came to my senses and have a 2002 SEIW zetec which I have owned for the last 11 years. Keep this one until I can't get in and out of it!! My Grandson thinks it's his anyway!!

  12. 72 years young and in love with my factory built 2015 FW SE which was a present to myself after giving bikes away following a 53 year riding stint - the Westie is my four wheel replacement. I'm loving it, it's absolutely brilliant!

  13. I'm sure I say this on behalf of all the speed series competitors, a massive Thank You Tigger I'll bet it's been a nightmare sorting out this years scoring with the new classes and separate novice championship but it is truly appreciated.

  14. Thanks for all the comments. Petzzii, I believe the seats are the standard Westfield grp sports seats with the vinyl trim! Done a few long journeys in them and they're actually really comfortable.

  15. My Dremel has helped me build four Westfield's and has had a hard life, still going strong. The problem I find with all tools is sometimes they are marginal, if you feel the unit getting hot, let it cool down and always use the tool appropriately. Yes they are shown as capable of many things but in truth they are not meant to be cutting metal and such of any decent size. for grinding they are fine. If you want to cut things, grinder or my latest favourite tool is a Erber Multi tool. They have an oscillating head with direct tools that will cut anything with the right cutter and sand. Best part no too expensive.

  16. I bought a cheep one from Lidl about five years ago and although its only been used for a few hours i am happy with its performance. and it works well, it sounds like dremel are not worth the money any more

  17. I'm 69, so I think MOTCO just beats me but no-one else, so far, on this thread in vintage years. Took delivery of my first factory built Westfield Sport on 4th. March 2008, but sold it last autumn. Took delivery of my Westfield XI kit at the beginning of February this year. Well, most of the kit that is. I'm calling to collect the outstanding items next Wednesday!

  18. Morning All, The sun is out Westfield is taxed, MOTd, serviced, cleaned and polished A good friend of mine is taking me and da Mrs up in his light plane for a couple of hours and a spot of lunch I'll go for a blatt later no doubt Curry and few beers later perhaps I have a new job, way better than the last Mrs has a new job, way better than the last Kids are OK Apart from the real nastiness that is going on in the world at the moment and I know not every one is as lucky as me, right now I have nothing to complain about and feel quite contented. I hope this little outpouring spreads some cheer to you too... Happy Easter, happy blatting

  21. Yup Didn't see Andy, but 75 glorious, sunny (and acceptably warm) miles of "top down" motoring today on the less major roads of Suffolk and Essex I feel ten years younger (even if those miles were not in a Westy!)

  23. It is because it is instant transfer. 1st April fill it in and away you go. There are no reminders now for Sorn as it runs until you tell them
