  3. Thanks Chris, i must say i'm really enjoying the rebuild, it definitely won't be my last. I suppose i'd best look in to learning how to ride and taking my test. Tonight i got the main an secondary shafts in place. I ran through all 5 gears and each one engages smoothly, so the transmission is done until the cases are reassembled and i put the primary and starter clutch in.

  4. No, only £40. After all - second hand "previously drilled" carbon is hard to re use...

  12. Mike - while you have the opportunity, check the thickness of the selector forks where they engage in the gearbox (on the ends of each fork) as that is where they wear. If there's a lot of wear it can drop out of gear. It's not too common a problem tbh, but worth checking. However, not sure what the tolerances are!

  13. It's a great way to get to know the other club members and put faces to names - plus you get to camp right next to the club marquee, Westfield's drift arena and a cafe that serves hot breakfast!

  14. Thanks for posting the film Ian. The drones take such good pictures. RAB. I ordered one of the packages from SLR Hut in the USA and saved a ton of money. I know they have mixed reviews but I have ordered from them in the past and never had an issue.

  15. Cheers mate! The P3A is the best option by far too get best bang for your buck right now! DJI are announcing their new P4 tomorrow but it's rumoured to be pricey! You say you've ordered already but watch for a potential price drop.. Although, on saying that, the P3A did drop massively recently so there may not be ant plans to drop it further anytime soon. You can never tell with tech! Who have you ordered through?

  18. They recommend max 30mph wind. Flown mine in a lot worse but wouldn't do it again. It was hard to land it, not on the floor I catch it by hand. You just need a bit of common sense in what weather to fly it in, that day I'd run out of the stuff lol

  20. GOOD NEWS...! As it's our 30th anniversary (who knew eh...!?) the Committee have agreed to offer a year's free membership via a random draw on both Saturday and Sunday. It will work as follows: Members that come to the show normally do so via Westfield Avenue, at this point, as per last year, you'll collect a flyer, stickers, etc. from the parking marshals. Each flyer is unique and contains a code If you come via another route, flyers will be available at the Membership stand in the marquee Retain your flyer, it is non transferable and non replaceable, you are only entitled to one and you must prove you are a existing and paid up member There will be a draw at the AGM on Sunday at 17:00 Two random flyer numbers will be picked from the hat, if you have the matching flyer, you are a member, you are present at the time of the draw and you meet the Ts and Cs, you win The year's membership will be credited to your account at the expiration of your current membership There will be a second draw for the Monday flyers at 14:00 in the marquee (again unique and different to Sundays flyers) that will follow the same process In addition and to thank you the volunteers When you sign on to do your volunteering stint, you name will be automatically entered into a separate draw - you do not need a flyer The volunteers draw will take place at the same times as above There will be one prize of a years membership per day More info and Ts and Cs Here...

  22. A few of us from the Peak District area are volunteering on the Sunday, some are travelling down for the day and others are caravanning. Makes me all proud to be the AO of such a good area.
