Norton Dominator SS bike from the James Bond movie with machine guns on the front. Has Daniel Craig's bottom sat on that seat, I wonder? For me this was the car of the show, if you could only sniff the interior you would understand why. It is for sale but can anyone guess for how much? Damon Hill's FW15C that he won his first Grand Prix in 1993. This was Eric Morcambes Jensen Interceptor that has been fully restored and I am sure I read it has just been auction off with a guide price of £150,000, but don't quote me on that. If it is true I wonder how much it sold for and to whom, or has it not gone yet? We met Martyn and Sue at 9am to look around the cars before they set off on their rally, then it was off to see the karts (missed them in action though, whoops) and group B and C rally cars in action before hitting the halls (4 of them). By 5pm we had not managed to do everything, we missed the Burnout and Classic Bike Trials so for £20 I think that was a bargain. Last time I spent £20 I got a spot of lunch, it was over in minutes and was nothing special, this was a full day of loveliness. It was nice to see Steve from Northamton Motor Sport and thank him personally for doing such a fantastic job on my Westfield last year, I can't praise you enough. I can't workout why the Westfield factory do not display there, in fact we could have a mini kit car show as a precursor to the main event in May, it has whet my appetite. We met Martyn's friends Geoff and Mike there and I don't forget a friendly face. I think Geoff parked next to me at Stoneleigh Kit Car Show and we chatted briefly, it was in 2014, am I right? is this your car in the picture, the yellow one? Mike, a rally marshal, left saying he needs to buy a Westfield, he is right and your friend Ian Evans in Chesterfield does too!2 points

You had fantastic weather for it this weekend if a tad chilly. We were up but not in a Westy unfortunately, however it is coming up in 8 weeks! Luke.1 point

I love surprises and I was surprised when Marcus did a late posting to say they were coming, then when we got there Bioman (Richard and Liz) was there too, lovely. We also had Russ and Martyn and Sue, cracking turnout for February, well done everyone and thank you. The Wheatsheaf After lots of breakfast next to the real fire we were lured out by the blazing sunshine. Had to laugh at Russ though, as I was explaining the route I got the puppy dog eyes as he asked, 'but is there any cake along the way?' Only one answer to that question, 'Yes' there is always cake on my runs out. We took the big roads out to Ladybower before turning up a small road to the North Lees Estate. Up, over and round with wide open views all the way and very little traffic. We stopped for a photo and I think Martyn had cheeky little pee while no-one was looking . Richard and Liz had just popped out for a quick visit and came as far as Ringinglow with us before turning back. We circuited round back down to Calver to the cafe for lunch where a Robin Hood was parked up. We had a quick chat before heading for cake. Red Velvet cake was the favourite, they would have been better off just putting the full cake on the table and giving us a spoon each, I mentioned it to the lady but she wasn't buying it. Marcus and Nakkib, and Russ had to head off from here, I reckon they only came for the cake . That left Martyn/Sue and us to do the lower leg of the trip. We stopped on Longstone Edge for a quick photo before heading for Monsal Head. 2 photo's actually We paused for the view over the Monsal Head viaduct before doing the fun bit. I told you it was a first gear corner!!! You keep the revs up high as you approach so your engine doesn't die and you think 'I can do it in second gear'. No blooming chance, it's vertical and it goes back on itself in a hairpin fashion. Get in first gear, it's a bit slippy too, I wiggled but I think Martyn found a bag full of snakes. He was snaking about for ages, and the smell of burning rubber, what a stink After the excitement we picked up the Tideswell road and headed for the Ice Cream Farm in Matlock to re-live our journey. Matlock Meadows Ice Cream Farm Don't tell me the Peak District is busy on a Sunday, these roads were empty, I guess it is because you have to make your own entertainment up there. There are no Visitor Centres or shops, just raw countryside. I will probably eat those words next Sunday when everyone decides to take their mum out for a day in the countryside. Yes it's mother's day next Sunday but we will still be out and about, come and join us if you can. P.S brilliant pictures Marcus, thank Nakkib for me1 point

Enclosed is a downloadable NOVICE Target Times highlighted in light blue so you don't mistake it for the normal target times. Obviously as A2 & B2 are expert only there are no times for these classes. This year the Novice Championship is being run totally separately to the main Championship. So if your car class is F and you are a Novice then you will only score in the Novice Championship NOT the main championship. You will be scored against these times which are slightly easier than the main championship ones. Any Queries then best to PM me. Thanks Nick FINAL WSCC 2016 NOVICE TargetTimes.pdf1 point

GOOD NEWS...! As it's our 30th anniversary (who knew eh...!?) the Committee have agreed to offer a year's free membership via a random draw on both Saturday and Sunday. It will work as follows: Members that come to the show normally do so via Westfield Avenue, at this point, as per last year, you'll collect a flyer, stickers, etc. from the parking marshals. Each flyer is unique and contains a code If you come via another route, flyers will be available at the Membership stand in the marquee Retain your flyer, it is non transferable and non replaceable, you are only entitled to one and you must prove you are a existing and paid up member There will be a draw at the AGM on Sunday at 17:00 Two random flyer numbers will be picked from the hat, if you have the matching flyer, you are a member, you are present at the time of the draw and you meet the Ts and Cs, you win The year's membership will be credited to your account at the expiration of your current membership There will be a second draw for the Monday flyers at 14:00 in the marquee (again unique and different to Sundays flyers) that will follow the same process In addition and to thank you the volunteers When you sign on to do your volunteering stint, you name will be automatically entered into a separate draw - you do not need a flyer The volunteers draw will take place at the same times as above There will be one prize of a years membership per day More info and Ts and Cs Here...1 point

Hi Scott, great news your sorted, and I second your comment about having a mentor to advise on how to buy the right one! Chris did the same for me, as well as many other prominent members on here. Some good guys with some great knowledge. Im hoping that I can get to the yorkshire meet as well.1 point

Hi Nick, Highly unlikely I know, but if a novice (registered in the novice championship) when scored against the normal target times scored the most overall points (including beating the experts) would they be allowed to win the overall Championship? They would have won it on merit,, Thanks Barry1 point

UPDATE Following my complaint Simon Westwood has replied to say that they will deal with the matter internally with their distributor and won't be liable for the shipping. I just want to get my car back now, I still need to get it on the rollers following the TB upgrade before the summer!1 point
